I think this thread is getting a little shitposty and offtopic again.
A question for the mods, how many times do you have to be banned before getting a 'last chance' warning?
I think it heavily depends on how shit your previous bans were and how often. I've seen people with massive ban histories with no last chance but some with like five or six bans on a last chance iirc.
Would things that used to go in Photoshop contests go in Creationism Corner now?
didn't know when posting something like •••••••• it censors, what else is censored here?
[QUOTE=sitoncio.dev;52712494]didn't know when posting something like •••••••• it censors, what else is censored here?[/QUOTE] •••••••••••••, ••••• and •••••••• are censored
[QUOTE=Mako;52712496]•••••••••••••, ••••• and •••••••• are censored[/QUOTE] is ••••••• on that list? EDIT: Apparently so.

[t]https://i.imgur.com/pbqo3u9.png[/t] I just found this saved on an old hard drive :v: [editline]24th September 2017[/editline] I think it came from Swebonny, demod him for leaking mod conte- oh wait
I wish there was a set of rules mods had to abide by, instead of just making something up and banning someone for any old reason and arguing 'this isn't a democracy or something' . Well it wouldn't hurt to have some structure so mods don't ban people because they don't agree with an argument or because they don't like a member and going 'banned for making a shit post' or 'banned because you fell for our trap' or 'because fuck you lololo'. Or at least give people with permabans or long bans better representation. I mean most mods are picked because they're great members, so I have to assume something about the role makes them favour the stick over the carrot, but I really wish that this didn't have to be the case, call me optimistic but I believe that a little compassion can go a long way. It may be the same as real life, but this is a small social gathering for a few people due to the very generalist nature of the forum, when you cut them off from that, it's difficult for them to accept it as anything other than hostile. It's especially bad when someone has depression. I guess what I'm asking for is more compassion when banning people and a bit less mob justice from everyone. I would be nice regular members (not fucking alt accounts) could vote to unbanned someone, not everyone, but if enough members request an unban for a pbanned or long period banned member, it would good. I know someone's going reply with something akin to "if you don't like how we do it, get the fuck out",but sometimes anger gets the better of us, sometimes people say things they don't mean and times they feel like they're being pushed into a corner, obviously I'm speaking from my own perspective, but I know these things happen to other members too.
This is primarily a forum for people who play games. When I joined it was possible to be banned for almost anything and I looked on avoiding a ban as a challenging and difficult game. The slightly assholeish attitude of the moderators was tempered with great kindness and willingness to help when genuinely needed. This odd mixture of rough banter and caring help is what makes our community, and I doubt it will ever change.
dunno about you but a lot of that "rough banter" is pretty unnecessary tbh [editline]26th September 2017[/editline] at some point we cross the line of banter over to just pure malice
The way I look at it, negativity = problem and problems can be solved. You can't think that it'll never change or it won't, I get the "that's the way we are" attitude, but things can improve sure as the negative attitudes and prejudices of last century change. I mean people say I'll never change but I'll sure as hell try, I don't want to be some fuckwitt who makes bad posts and arguments because he got mad and made a ranty post, most of my 'rough' posts are just anger or a reaction to someone else's harsh post or simply the cynical nature of my surroundings. Either way, I was banned earlier this year because people I said something I didn't realise was offensive which I later took back, because of the negative reaction I got 'I assumed I was being attacked' as with all my negative posts, so now I try to see what people are saying, rather that assume I being attacked, granted I'm a bit different to most people, but the point is, I was able to see the whole problem, if you can see the entire problem, you can avoid it later on and part of that not assume someone means ill intent or that they're purposefully trolling, they could just feel backed into a corner and are just trying to alleviate the negativity in a rapid way due to their emotions. Some people are trolling, but you have think why are they continuing, why did they say such a stupid thing. I understand that you guys aren't physiologists, but it doesn't hurt to assume that there was no ill intent. I'd like to request that Levelog get his Goldmembership early for being an avid contributor to the forums, but I know no one has the power to do that.
I had a dream where this thread was moved to Fast Threads
[QUOTE=Headhumpy;52719131]I had a dream where this thread was moved to Fast Threads[/QUOTE] It's Fast Threads that moved into GD
[QUOTE=Headhumpy;52719131]I had a dream where this thread was moved to Fast Threads[/QUOTE] One time I had a dream where my post in the Refugee Camp was spammed with bible verses and Craptasket's account was compromised
[QUOTE=Headhumpy;52719131]I had a dream where this thread was moved to Fast Threads[/QUOTE] with more of these kind of posts, it probably would
Is it just me or does this thread vomit when it's fully loaded? [url]https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1577180&p=52721060[/url] I have the fully dark theme if that changes anything

Client side issue, blame your browser really.

[QUOTE=Redfiend;52721231]aaa people who use [img] tags on fucking huge images!!!! can we not get some hackcode into the site that forcefully overrides [img] with [t]?[/QUOTE] Could likely do it via a script but it wouldn't work very well as it'll have to run after the page has loaded. And the server side solution isn't possible due to access reasons.
I would like to ask again, please. Could a moderator remove by title? I do not want it.
Mods cant remove titles, this is probably why your request isn't working
they can change it to say "Gold Member" ???
[QUOTE=Quark:;52721491]they can change it to say "Gold Member" ???[/QUOTE] We cant change jack, its all admin only.
oh okay
[QUOTE=Scratch.;52720577]with more of these kind of posts, it probably would[/QUOTE] now you're just egging me on
[QUOTE=pentium;52721481]I would like to ask again, please. Could a moderator remove by title? I do not want it.[/QUOTE] At this point the mods are basically teasing pentium. It has been clearly shown that some mods are capable of changing titles yet they keep pentium's broken title. It's not even broken because the image was uploaded to a different website. Whoever's screwing with pentium should stop. I'll snip this post if there is evidence that mods can't edit titles.
I've removed it. Moderators can't edit titles but I will do it for them if they request it
