Everytime Terraria updates I wonder why the fuck I even bothered to buy Starbound. And every time Starbound updates I wonder why the fuck I even bothered to buy Starbound.
This fucking update already looks amazing Relogic confirmed for best sandbox game devs 2015

Is Terraria fun solo? I haven't played it since it came out
Is Terraria fun solo? I haven't played it since it came out
if you have no friends like me, then terraria is LOADS of fun by yourself
Is Terraria fun solo? I haven't played it since it came out
one of the best time wasters I have ever spent money on, Done roughly 150+ hours on steam alone as well as 200 hours on the 360 with friends
Not only is the game great and its content, but even the trailer is super straight forward. Just a bunch of dudes dicking around with new items and enemies, straight gameplay, how trailers should be for games. You can tell how much love they put into this
Terraria is probably twice the game Starbound will ever be at this point.
Which is a shame, because I still really like Starbound and think it has/had more potential than Terraria.
Is Terraria fun solo? I haven't played it since it came out
If you enjoy building and hoarding a lot. The game gets quite ridiculous in hardmode though with all the bosses, so it helps to have some friends if you want to experience the entire game. Also, you don't have to share all that delicious loot if you play alone. :v:
What difficulty and world size should I pick for solo?
What difficulty and world size should I pick for solo?
Don't go too hard on your self go for normal and small to med
I never understood why people would pick anything other than large. I want lots of stuff to explore :v:
I never understood why people would pick anything other than large. I want lots of stuff to explore :v:
Because getting to the ocean/dungeon on a huge world is a pain
Because getting to the ocean/dungeon on a huge world is a pain
No man, it's an adventure You may have to set up camp on the way there, and exciting stuff like that. I love it.
Which is a shame, because I still really like Starbound and think it has/had more potential than Terraria.
I really want to agree. When Starbound was first announced I really thought it was going to be a better Terraria, but as time goes by, Starbound just seems almost in a state of abandonment to me. It took years for Terraria to become the game it is today, and it doesn't seem that Starbound gets the same attention.

Really wish I had someone to play this with, everyone I know gets bored before we unlock hardmode :suicide:
This game probably has to be one of the best indie games ever made and one of the most content rich games I ever played. There are too many items and things to even keep track of anymore, I stopped playing a long time ago but I will get back into it again probably.
Which is a shame, because I still really like Starbound and think it has/had more potential than Terraria.
Had potential is definitely the word i'd use. Starbound has to be one of the most boring and bland games i ever played. I still can't fathom how they managed to fuck that up.
I only play starbound for RP since the lore is really good. Its pretty sad that thats the only thing fun I can do.
It's amazing how much time and effort they are sinking into this game. I imagine a dev could easily be tempted to say "Ah, let's just make Terraria 2 or paid DLC" but these guys just give us loads of new content for free. Fantastic. [editline]24th June 2015[/editline] I hope. Once the main world has been fucked over, messing up a new world is fun.
I'll need to start playing this again, despite having tens of hours sunk into it I've never gotten to the endgame.
terraria gets more content updates than early access games and it's not fucking early access.
Crazy, a game that took less than a year to finish gets updates for years afterward.
Minecraft isn't a quarter of the game terrarria was, and especially not now it simply doesn't hold a candle to it, even with the 3d nature of minecraft.
That's because Terraria picked a direction and stuck with it. You gather resources to become more powerful so you can fight the bosses. Minecraft took a half step in every direction and ended up exactly where it started, a poorly thought out mess with a million undeveloped half features.
): I lost my characters for this game, had built a new computer and forgot to back up my characters before shutting down my old PC for the last time. Now that PC doesn't even boot anymore.
have you tried hooking up your old hard drive from your pc to your new pc? You should still be able to access it if you know what you're doing around computers.
And basically went on to say "Modders can fix this we don't need to work on this game"
at the same time also screwing modders off by not even giving them API
Everytime Terraria updates I wonder why the fuck I even bothered to buy Starbound. And every time Starbound updates I wonder why the fuck I even bothered to buy Starbound.
It baffles me that a single 1.0 Terraria world is still infinitely more interesting than an entire sector in Starbound. Not to mention SB's shite combat, lack of interesting loot, and boring as fuck mining.
