I am so sick and tired of Science vs. Religion babble.
They have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other.
Science studies shit, they take notes and try to make sense out of it, why would someone be against it?
Religion on the other hand was made to give hope for for hopeless people. To give people an easy answer, after all people didn't know shit back then long time ago.
And so it forged into what it is today, when (imo at least) Religion should be about matters that are beyond science, like for example the generic "Where are we going?" question, which is imo a pretty interesting one.
Also the morals which we have established by now though, religion also helps drug addicts and helps people struggling with their own problems or to simply be at peace.
As for most of the things, maybe people will lose interest eventually, even about religion.
This. Why can't science and religion just coexist?
Because both say a way that the universe was formed so they cant go together unless you tweak both of them.
Evolution is taught in Catholic schools for a reason.
It's taught in Lutheran schools as well.
This. Why can't science and religion just coexist?
Because people like to waves their dicks around and try and prove their way of life is the correct way.
To understand religion, you can't think about it scientifically, and to understand science, you can't think about it religiously. Most people are biased to one path.
This. Why can't science and religion just coexist?
They can, very easily. Evolution doesn't mean the God doesn't exist, people just keep digging down to arguements wholly unrelated (i.e: beginnings of universe).
I'm fairly sure Pope John Paul II said evolution fit 100% into the teachings of the Catholic Church.
This. Why can't science and religion just coexist?
Because they can't both be right.
Certain religions, at least.

well you should think about everything scientifically but yea I get what you mean with he not shoving beliefs and all that junk.
Is fucking Noah's Ark more logical? Is fucking splitting a whole fucking ocean in half logical?
What a Cretin.

Don't forget, back in those days, people lived to be at least a couple of 500 years old. Makes sense.
His argument makes no sense at all. He keeps jumping from topic to topic without actually proving anything. He says the big bang doesn't make sense to him which is probably because he never actually went in depth to the subject to learn more about it. Then, he goes on to evolution, which is a big topic jump, and brings out a point which is true, then says that it's false because we don't have a "croco-duck". The problem is he's only going part way when learning the content and assuming he knows everything about it.
It's almost like doing this:
"I'll make a cake. Ok, the first instruction is: "Mix ingredients". Ok, done. Why don't I have a cake? These instructions don't work!"

I guess. Well I'm Catholic and I love (hate) AP Biology so maybe it's just me.
