I thought it was a parody when I heard skrillex; that's certainly amusing
The music just made it look like it was made by a 12 year old trying to make a montage of the game.
I'm still sad they haven't turned this into a game yet

Why the fuck does Sonic's shoes have bandages wrapped around them?
Why is Sonic's running animation from 2006 back again.
I wasn't expecting to hear skrillex music. I guess they are trying to interest more 'mature' gamers.

You mean racist 12 year olds that swear a lot that are jacked up on mountain dew?
the bangarang oh god i'm dying. they made the 420 mlg parody before anyone had the chance to
I'm reserving my opinions until the release of the game itself. The developers this time around have some much loved franchises under their belt, and I for one hope they reinvent a lot of the game mechanics revolving around the modern sonic games in general.
Tails isn't a whiny bitch this time around, and the sonic in the other video reminds me of the personalty of sonic in the more 'gritter' of the sonic the comic issues from my childhood.
If there's one thing I've learnt from trailers; don't judge a book by its cover. Case and point aliens colonial marines, fantastic tech demos and early footage but a scam of a game.
Granted, they could have chosen better music.
Edit:
Looking into the new Knuckles design, they probably redesigned him with animation in mind. Could you imagine the other Knuckles striking this pose more convincingly with those stubby arms?

This actually looks like it could be good. The Sonic series desperately needed a reboot

The last reboot for the Sonic series went perfectly and didn't almost kill the franchise, I agree :v:

That wasn't a reboot though? It's a direct sequel to the Sonic Adventure games, has all of the same characters and everything

Pretty sure it's a reboot, Sega didn't call it a sequel to the SA franchise (although it's very similar). Might be wrong though.
I'm pretty sure it was meant to be a reboot. It was this frankenstein's hybrid of stuff from older games (Omega from Heroes, Blaze from Rush for no reason) along with a horrifying new coat of paint that placed everything in a disturbing photorealistic setting. (You just need to look at '06 Eggman to realize that.)
It was more of the accumulated shitstorm that had been building up since Heroes after Sonic Team lost touch with what fans wanted because they kept trying to build on the darker elements the Adventure series introduced until things got too dark and edgy. If anything, Unleashed was the reboot.

It was called Sonic the Hedgehog as a sort of continuity reboot. Although the characters were all there, none of the previous.. 'Baggage' was acknowledged, so to say. It was basically Adventure 3, yes, but it was going to be a new start for the games.
It failed so hard that they've tried to cash on nostalgia and/or Sonic-only gameplay since.
And this isn't a reboot whatsoever; it's just a tie-in video game to the TV series of its own separate continuity.
I'm honestly curious to see where this goes, if it's good, great! If it isn't, oh well.
That and the banter between sonic and eggman in the tv series trailer actually put a smile on my face, so this has already succeeded in amusing me more than most of the recent sonic games.
