wasn't the room the one they bashed in tim and eric show? and it's fucking terrible but the guy who made it (who also stars in it) trys to play off the shittyness as the kind david lynch has where it's "deep" crappy?
Don't know what movie you're talking about. The room has excellent acting and a deep plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat, even after the credits roll.
okay then that's the one *wink* [editline]21st March 2011[/editline] "Despite his thick, seemingly eastern European accent, Wiseau claims to have grown up in New Orleans"
The Room [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e1/TheRoomMovie.jpg/215px-TheRoomMovie.jpg[/img_thumb]
YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, LISA! I DID NOT HIT HER! I did not... hit her. Oh hai, Mark. /c

I really want to believe that he made the movie shitty on purpose. There's no way he watched the scenes afterwards and seriously decided what everyone had done was acceptable.
Anything by Monty Python Anything by Mel Brooks Hot Fuzz Shaun of the Dead Burn After Reading The Big Lebowski Full Metal Jacket (Not a comedy, per say, but R. Lee Ermey at the beginning is fucking hilarious) Scott Pilgrim VS The World The Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn* Army of Darkness* Down and Out in Beverly Hills Beverly Hills Cop Aireplane! The Naked Gun Major League Meet the Feebles Bad Taste Brain Dead/Dead Alive Fight Club You should at least see all of these. *Note that these two films are the 2nd and 3rd entries in The Evil Dead trilogy, the first being a straight up horror flick with no comedy whatsoever.
I thought the third Evil Dead was the one that was all comedy?

The rest are either not comedies or I haven't seen.
I'll agree with: Anything by Monty Python, Big Lebowski, Airplane and Naked Gun. Literally everything on that list is comedy, even if it wasn't meant to be one.

Full Metal Jacket's Boot Camp scenes are funny, but scathing. The Boot Camp's ending and one scene in the middle are definetly not comedy, neither is the rest of the film. You may as well just You Tube the best of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman. Another film you will want to check out, however, is Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and to Love the Bomb. It's full comedy, a la Stanley Kubrick and Peter Sellers.
Four Lions [img_thumb]http://media.warp.net/images/fourlions.jpg[/img_thumb] Literally the funniest movie I have ever seen
That looks brilliant
Red Dwarf
This isn't a movie, but Whitest Kids U Know.
Futurama, the Jurassic Bark episode.
Actually, most comedies are shit. I mean.. a good movie can be funny too, in its own way, whereas comedies are just kinda like lolled.
