That or a stoner, which seems to be the target audience for this movie.
Isn't that what I said?
Not everything has to be so rigid. You can be a smart motherfucker and still enjoy a movie like this if you don't take yourself so seriously.
Oh no I'm perfectly aware. I'm not a pretentious bastard who only watches French New Wave films and considers comedy beneath me. I just know that I won't like this movie because the humor reminds me of everything that was funny to me at age 12 and no later. There aren't any jokes beyond "cartoon food but they swear and do sex and die." It's vulgarity for the sake of vulgarity.
I'm really starting to not like Sony's movie division after seeing what they try to pull with Jack and Jill, Pixels, Amazing Spiderman (prior to sharing rights with Marvel), Ghostbusters, and now this. Can Sony please just put the brakes on their movie division for the greater good?
I would legit watch this [editline]13th August 2016[/editline] its stil better than fucking ghostbusters so
As tasteless as I think that scene is. It's nice to see something different for once. Especially considering it's animated. It's certainly something I think I'll need to watch due to some morbid curiosity.
Don't you think it's a little weird that a straight juvenile comedy has an 83 on Rotten Tomatoes?
very bad very bad vERY UNHOLY
imagine going to college for 4-6 years and end up having to animate this.
imagine going to college for 4-6 years and end up having to animate this.
That would be great? For all its worth, the animation in this looks damn good.
Don't you think it's a little weird that a straight juvenile comedy has an 83 on Rotten Tomatoes?
I reckon if I went and looked at some of the reviews themselves they have a slight slant to them, as the film carries an anti-religious themes throughout. The people that like that sort of thing probably was really surprised and happy about the film, and just talked about that for their entire review.
Don't you think it's a little weird that a straight juvenile comedy has an 83 on Rotten Tomatoes?
But it's about religion so it must be good
It's weird to see people get so upset over a low quality, contextless clip from a cartoon with swearing food.
Time for a confession: I like some of Seth Rogen's work. Even though I think this is weird and unecessary for the film, I think I'm going to see it.
imagine going to college for 4-6 years and end up having to animate this.
Bullshitting around with your buds while you're all animating a bun taking a literal hot dog deep dicking would probably be fun just from the sheer absurdity.
haha. sex. its funny because the cartoon is doing sex. it looks like a pixar but THEY FUCKIN. haha. this is comedy. seth rogan is a moron
The only thing that's worthwhile to his name is that Preacher adaptation, and even that is strictly ok.
Did anyone shitting on this even see the movie or...?
Did anyone shitting on this even see the movie or...?
Bandwagoning it seems. I dont understand why it happens. See the movie before you freak out complain about how bad it is. It looks like a stupid and dumb movie but thats what some people like.
Did anyone shitting on this even see the movie or...?
you dont need to see this movie to know its shit :)
you dont need to see this movie to know its shit
That's like saying food is automatically shit if it doesn't look perfect. If you haven't tried it, don't bother acting like you know everything about the subject matter.
Lol so many downers in here.
you dont need to see this movie to know its shit :)
Cool, now I don't need to see a movie or play a game to know its shit now. Good to know.
Bandwagoning it seems. I dont understand why it happens. See the movie before you freak out complain about how bad it is. It looks like a stupid and dumb movie but thats what some people like.
But it looks like an atrocity from the leaked script, the trailers, and now this clip. If it's actually good it presented itself in the worst possible way.
That's like saying food is automatically shit if it doesn't look perfect. If you haven't tried it, don't bother acting like you know everything about the subject matter.
Nah you can usually tell when a movie is going to be shitty based off trailers and other tidbits of information
you dont need to see this movie to know its shit :)
I dont know why you guys are disagreeing with him. I dont need to see Fant4stic to know its an awful film. I dont need to see [del]Gurlstbusters[/del] WANNA BRUTHAHS PRESENTS A DEE SEE CAHMICS MOOVIE SUM KINNA SUYSA SKWA?!? to know i wont like it. People can know if somethings someway by word of mouth.
Nah you can usually tell when a movie is going to be shitty based off trailers and other tidbits of information
True, but you can't properly criticize a movie without seeing it. If you bitch and moan about a movie or a game you think is bad, but never seen/played, you are just an obnoxious person. [editline]13th August 2016[/editline]
I dont know why you guys are disagreeing with him. I dont need to see Fant4stic to know its an awful film. Goddamn I wish a proper film critic had done an essay on this scene, I don't think I have the vocabulary to argue my point properly but I'm going to try. [sp]Saw the movie at midnight. It was great. I feel I REALLY need to stress how fucking important context is in this case. Contrast is everything. Viewing this scene out of context, it seems extreme. But remember this whole movie is vulgar and full of gratuitous scenes including rape. As a finale scene it works incredibly well. The entire movie has a slow build of sexual tension between most of these characters. Supacasey also mentioned the tones of suppression that exist in the movie. Because the movie was so over the top in terms of taboo content matter, this scene, that was used to wrap up a HUGE arc of the movie, had the top those scene's low brow humor in order to provide closure.[/sp] This scene is also a punchline. Taking out of context, away from the movie, is like taking a punchline out of a joke and expecting it to be funny by itself. Comedy is a constantly evolving landscape. I remember watching some of south park season 1 and thinking it crossed the line. Some parts of this movie crossed "the line". Remember that the things being said in this thread were the same things said about every major boundary pusher in comedy. I'm not saying I want more comedy to become extremely vulgar. But in this movie's case it works extremely well.

People can know if somethings someway by word of mouth.
But here's the thing. Reviews for Sausage Party are quite positive with critics and people alike. Ghostbosters and Fan four stick are universally regarded as shit for a number of reasons. Your opinion is shit if you go "I know nothing about what I'm talking about but I think everyone is wrong and I'm right."
It's like you can't go 5 minutes without bringing the Ghobusters reboot.
God forbid i just use a recently released film as an example (because people neither liked it or saw it and as such is a good example) good lordy. [editline]13th August 2016[/editline]
But here's the thing. Reviews for Sausage Party are quite positive with critics and people alike. This movies getting good ratings and people are saying its apparently alright so im not going to dismiss it.
Don't forget that the trailers for Star Trek: Beyond made the movie look like total dogshit, but it's widely regarded as much better than the 2009 Star Trek and Into Darkness combined, which I agree with. Don't judge a film on its trailers or leaked scripts.
