True, but you can't properly criticize a movie without seeing it.
If you bitch and moan about a movie or a game you think is bad, but never seen/played, you are just an obnoxious person.
Not really, besides why would I want to support something financially that I think looks bad.
For example, from all the gameplay videos and forum posts I've seen, No Man's Sky looks boring, so why should I shell out the outrageous price of $60 to play something that I feel I won't enjoy at all.
On the contrary the trailer for Mad Max Fury Road looked fucking amazing, and it was when I spent the money to go see it.
But arent you supposed to judge a movie based on its trailers?
They're supposed to make it look good and get you to go see it after all.
In theory, yeah, but that hasn't been the case at all lately.
knowing this is a seth rogan movie you are better off watching it stoned like every other one of his movies.
usually how i can pull through watching them and end up liking the films too.

Judging a movie by it's trailer is fine and reasonable, but when someone else has actually seen the movie they're a better authority on it :v:
Apparently one of my cousins worked on this? Now I'm disappointed...

I know a few people from the animation studio that made it.
two facepunchers are indirectly related to the creation of this film. Would you watch film made by facepunch? you decide.
[sp]The answer is no.[/sp]
He said at the closed screening that they'd been working on this for about ten years as a passion project.

We already got the food version of Postal's ass.
:thisthread:
And yet it still looks more competent than Foodfight.
Bandwagoning it seems. I dont understand why it happens.
See the movie before you freak out complain about how bad it is. It looks like a stupid and dumb movie but thats what some people like.
It's just Facepunch being Facepunch. Despite the majority of people on here would like to say, Facepunch is just as prone to bandwagon hate as any other group of people, especially when it's something like this where people have seen only a piece of a cake that can only be appreciated when it's put together whole.
does this movie have a plot at all or is just seth rogen making dick jokes for an hour and a half
does this movie have a plot at all or is just seth rogen making dick jokes for an hour and a half
Based on the trailers the plot seems to revolve around the food worshiping the humans as gods only to find out the horrible truth of what happens after they're actually chosen. Then the food revolt.
Whatever the fuck happened to the film industry this year
Its like 2015 was the high with Mad Max and all the other movies, and then 2016 came crashing down with Ghostbusters, Independence day, Suicide Squad etc.

But the general consensus of people who saw was that it was pretty good...
i might give it a watch when i can rent it on amazon or something

I wouldn't mind people disliking the movie or the scene if it wasn't for comments such as "Only neckbeards/manchildren/retards/Trump supporters/stoners/whatever would enjoy this movie".
It's just complete elitism and it's annoying.

That's one of the main differences between bandwagon hate and normal hate, people say elitist crap in order to make themselves and everyone else on the bandwagon sound superior to others.
That's what I thought when I first saw the ad on TV, the only thing that hinted to it being a film for adults was the [NSFW] at the end which I bet a lot of parents (especially those prude soccer moms) won't know what it means.
tbf I was exposed to porn at a very young age because my mom rented a film which she thought was king kong but in fact was a jungle themed porno, I was so scared and confused lol.
I got to ask... if you can still remember.... what actually made you scared?
Never understood why someone, even a kid would be scared. Please inform me.

For a child who doesn't understand what they're seeing, it can seem like one person is hurting the other.
why was hitler in there
everyone needs to chill out. i saw the movie a couple of nights ago, it was a shit movie, but it was a fun movie.
there already been reports of families walking out when the orgy started

That's really impressive considering the orgy scene takes place very close to the ending of the film.
Meaning the families in question went through an entire movie of DUDE WEED LMAO, DUDE BATHSALTS LMAO, DUDE WHAT IF A CARTOON SAID FUCK, and pretty much everything else the movie has to offer.
I'll never understand why in our society it's considered perfectly fine to show kids violence, gore, etc. but the moment someone shows something remotely sexual or something everyone's all "THINK OF THE CHILDREN YOU SICK FUCKS" It just seems super weird. Like when Katy Perry was kicked off of Sesame Street because her outfit showed a little cleavage.
Or like how Game of Thrones is known for having all sorts of crazy bad shit happening with people getting brutally murdered etc. in it but the author RR Martin says the thing he gets complaints about is the sex scenes more then anything else.

In George's defense, he's never really been good at sex scenes to begin with. The ones in the books are some of the worst imagery of all time :v:
No way you can come up with this kind of shit without snorting multiple lines of crack.
never got why anyone says this. people can be creative (if this even qualifies) without using drugs
:conspiratard:

Knowing what you think, I'd almost believe you're serious
Seth Rogen is a Jew though?

If dick jokes are creative then that school kid who draws dicks on the bathroom walls must be Bob Ross
Best dick joke is probably the drawing dicks from Superbad
I hope this film doesn't do well enough to make a trend of "Adult" animated movies in the oncoming years.

Oh man, [sp]In the theater, there was sort of a mixed bag of laughs and gasps/ooufhs the whole movie to every sexual/religious joke. When we got to the first scene where a human was killed, everyone fucking lost their shit. No mixed bag this time. Just the entire theater laughing at a hotdog playing with a dead human's face for five minutes.[/sp] Fucking incredible hypocrisy.

Yeah, "adult" comedy for adult comedy sake is always awful. Eurotrip and other good movies liked it spawned that awful genre of college sexual comedies. I have no doubt this will do the same. Hopefully after one or two bomb they'll stop though.
Saw this movie and it was actually really funny and enjoyable. One of my favorite comedies this year for sure. The movie was pretty much a bunch of lowbrow jokes, but they were very well executed and it was such an enjoyable movie to watch in the theater with friends. The orgy scene was honestly the icing on the cake, maybe literally as well. It threw me for a loop so hard I couldn't even laugh. The scene was hilarious though.
I don't understand why you guys are hating on lowbrow humor so much though. They took a very big risk and I think it's gonna pay off and it's also a very enjoyable film. It's like you guys get mad when comedy is the same, but when a comedy pushes the boundaries you get mad at that as well. The evolution of comedy in films recently has been very progressive and entertaining. The interview, Deadpool, and now this movie. I hope the trend continues and that the film industry feels more comfortable putting everything into comedic spotlights. Plus you guys should definitely prevent yourselves from taking comedy out of context.
