When the new forums come around and they have "here first" moderation, what stops people from creating a legitimate echo chamber by creating something akin to the "blocklist" on twitter, and autobanlist on reddit? Will the global mods investigate unfair situations like these?

If we do grant custom forums on Newpunch I think the best way to move forward is for there to be some sort of quality controls in place. Kind of like what Reddit has on paper but actually enforced fairly

I'm sort of disappointed because I wanted to make a community to replace another moderation-dead forum I go to and maybe bring new blood here, but at the same time relieved because I was certain this would cause drama and heartbreak as people begin to ban users from sections on entire topics based on their opinions on other unrelated topics or some such

Gotta say, having migrated my account to newpunch, I'm really liking it! So much better than it used to be and much more modern than current-punch, wish it was more active. Looking forward to the whole forum migrating over
Does newpunch count posts you make after you migrate your account? Like if you have 100 posts on regular facepunch and link your account, than make another 100 on old fp, will it count 200 on newpunch?

afaik it counts posts when subforums are migrated over. so if youre still making posts here then whenever their corresponding subforum gets migrated over they'll go towards the tally

Newpunch allows custom user CSS, so you can pretty much do whatever you want with the GUI. I believe the new account is updated with whatever happens on the old account. I would need an official confirmation though.
