To the people that are upset about how the MP looks, what exactly are you expecting? I mean games do evolve over time.
Oh yeah, the beta for those who prepurchased Wolfenstein: The New Order comes out March 31st apparently.

Freeze tag was always a lot of fun when I played it in Quake Live, so I'm really looking forward to it in this game, and especially Warpath. Everything they've shown about this game looks really promising so far.
I just wish we could play as "monster" characters again, just like back in the days. Unreal Tournament, Turok etc. It hurts to see those generic halo-esque soldiers.
I like that I got rated dumb, yet no one explained what they're expecting from Doom multiplayer. :v:

This is honestly one of the worst games you could pick for that kind of complaint.

If I get this game, it's going to be for the singleplayer, co-op, and mod base. I probably won't ever touch multiplayer.

I don't honestly plan on sinking time into the raw multiplayer, but that may change. Not to say I think the multiplayer looks bad, but I tend to like the SP side of things more for these types.
and mod base.
Hahaha. Mod base. In a modern idTech game. Dream on. Most this game will have for 'custom' content will be the maps made in SnapMap. There will be no SDK last we heard.

Unfortunately even if those ever did come out, it'd probably be like RAGE - extraordinarily bloated tools for a game that doesn't get the backing that would really want to use them.
It really just looks like what I'd expect a modern take on Doom multiplayer to look like. It looks fun to me.

Maps being the only real customizable content is fine with me, honestly. the meat of Doom's modding community has always been in the mapping.
