Bingo I made a big mistake, but everyone I knew was a big baby and didn't want to go off campus so I had no one to room with.
My ex was a freshman who dormed at a local university. I was always kind of intrigued by it, and the companionship that invariatbly occurs between your dorm and flat mates, and the fact that college life is all around you. Granted not much privacy, but there are escape routes you can go to I always imagined to facilitate that sort of thing. Granted at his school they force you into dorms for the first two years except under special circumstances. I always commuted to school and lived off campus - as I started in community college and now communte to my local college. In a way I feel like I missed out on some of the social aspects you get from dorming and doing the full "living away from home" college experience, but then again I get a nice comfortable place to live in and still have my freedom - even if I don't get much social exposure outside of class because of it.
Final year of college. fucking
College is great so far. It's like normal school except not with the lessons you hate or the dicks who are always pissing about.

After the first couple days I didn't ever want to see another human being again I am done with that shit.
Ugh. So I had my first class of Intro to IT class today. Pretty boring because the professor just talked about the class and how to utilize shit online. We even got let out an hour early. But the thing that bothered me was that the class was full of...well, nerds, for lack of a better term right now. The guy that I was sitting next to was browsing the encyclopedia dramatica forums and shit and came off as a total basement dweller. I don't wanna sit next to him again really. He was distracting. I'm aware that the IT field isn't exactly full of like socialites and non-awkward people, but fuck! Some can be so....annoying. I mean it was only the first day so I don't know how everyone is, but judging from all their mannerisms and attire, they don't come off as my kind of crowd. Seriously. There is only one chick in the class as well :(.
School isn't even bad. It gets me out of the house and it's pretty chill all day.

Wish I had posted here earlier. I just started today as a high school sophomore, and I found out that my World History student teacher is a professional artist of some sort. She has said nothing about it during class. Look here. I thought that was interesting enough to warrant me posting here. Other than that, my first day was alright. For some reason, three of my teachers are also coaches at the school.
First day of school wasn't so bad. (September 7th). and the second day was good to.
I just moved away about 5 hours from home to the University of Saskatchewan (for some reason). My classes started a few days ago and it's my first year. I'm aiming to get my BA with a major in psychology, but I dunno, it's such a drastic change from high school but I am enjoying the actual lectures so far, but I am shitting my pants about the all the work to be done, but what can you do I guess.
I wish I was in 5th grade again. I have had this feeling since 6th grade.
Moving into my new place next Saturday but don't start classes again till the 29th. Cannot wait to get back to Bournemouth though, my home town is nice but it's so boring and there is nothing new or interesting to do ever and this summer has been one long dive for it.
My schedule gives me three day weekends every week. :smug:
Going to the cinemas with my college today to watch Limitless. Good lord this course has been interesting so far. :v:
Went back to college this week, it's pretty alright so far. Haven't really made any real friends in my class so far, but i talked to one of the girls in my class on the way back to the bus yesterday and i think theres a good chance of us becoming friends or possibly something more. I leave it at that.

Meh, hopefully it'll be nice. :D
No girls in my class, what a disappointment that was when I first realized.
The ironic thing is that my course is an IT one, I expected there would be either one or absoultely no girls on the course. We ended up with four or so.
What course are you on?
Animation and Games Development. I don't think I'll benefit much from it but hey, it'll be a lot better than sitting on my ass every day.
The ironic thing is that my course is an IT one, I expected there would be either one or absoultely no girls on the course. I start college properly on monday, yesterday and thursday were both induction days really. Business Studies, Economics, Computer Science and Maths (no further). I still haven't had a CS lesson because I switched from English Language, I hated it and it was only for 55 minutes. I just hope I can make some new friends with a similar timetable, all my old friends have free time when I don't or the other way around and in no lesson am I with people from my school. Which is a plus really.
I start University on the 19th so I’ve just been working out how I’m going to manage my student loan. My Brother was telling me how some people managed to spend all of it in one week, how could someone do that?
My schedule gives me three day weekends every week. :smug:
My scedule has me basically doing 4 day weekends every week, and wedensday pretty much off too. Woo for having all my classes on tues+thurs :) (with a lab on weds). That's my favorite benefit of college. Make your own scedule, and most of the time you can just have yourself going "full time" by doing all the classes on two days. Sure I'm there from 8am to 6pm, but its not really that bad. Totally fucking owns the giant timesink HS is, with its 40 hour school weeks and 5 days a week classes. Though my weekend mostly revolves around my job. Just make sure you get the loans where you don't have to pay back until you graduate, if you have those there in the UK
Let's see, I was anxious as shit because it's a new school so I couldn't sleep, summer heat didn't help, fortunately I still managed to wake up on time, first day(this week's Thursday) was just an introduction day and they were nice enough to also walk us through school to get to know it because that damn place is a labyrinth. Up until now I've only seen one problem with my new routine. It's my first time ever taking buses instead of trains but, that's not the problem, the bus stop where I have to wait for the bus to go home is facing west so it's completely exposed to the afternoon sun, the only thing on the other side of the road is the parking lot of a mall, so there's nothing that can make a shadow big enough to reach the stop, it does have a roof but at the times I'm leaving, the Sun is too horizontal for the roof to be of any use, the only shadow I get is from a nearby lamp post or by being squished between the back of the stop and a wall. If I miss the bus that's around 45 minutes of waiting for the next one, did I mention that this stop is missing seats so I have to stand up the whole time? Yeah I can already see this is going to be fun, can't wait to stop melting and start freezing to death on the bus stop once winter arrives. Besides this unlucky shit, my Friday's are pretty damn cool because it's just 3 hours of class.
Think smarter, not harder. :eng101:
I start school on the 12th.
Bingo I made a big mistake, but everyone I knew was a big baby and didn't want to go off campus so I had no one to room with.
Right on the spot there I didn't go right after high school because there's no fucking way I'm living in a dorm

On the outside I don't give a fuck. On the inside I'm scared as fuck. (moving away to college)
