Do you consider your music taste "Alternative?" - General

I listen to alot of "Alternative Hip-Hop" as it's often tagged. I just call it good hip-hop.

I was confus by question, so I put yes because I tend to listen to stoner metal, hardcore punk, underground hip-hop and various folk musics.

Well, I'm not sure if I would describe my musical proclivities as alternative, but for sure I tend to shy away from mainstream/top 40 music.

I still can't quite place where the Alternative genre really is, but considering I listen to [I]almost[/I] anything, and still enjoy listening to it, I'll just vote yes.

I'm more than likely wrong, I formed this idea way before I really cared/knew of genres... Alternative to me just means stuff that isn't main stream... aka stuff that isn't on radio/MTv... I know there's an actual alternative genre.. but eh.

If alternative means underground music, then I guess that I'm a major fan of it.

Yes because the majority of the stuff I listen to is Paramore, MGMT, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Saosin, etc. :D

I listen to Rammstein, Gogol Bordello, E.S. Posthumous, and Nick Cave. None of my friends have heard of any of them.

I don't know, I have a wide variety of tastes. Led Zeppelin, Queen, Kansas, Danzig, Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, Red Hot Chili Peppers and... I think that's about it. What would you define this as?
