guys.... i already travel in time travelling through time at the speed of 24hr/hr.
So you move forward in time 1 day per hour? :v:
No not really. Just because you can travel through time doesn't make you God, you still can't create life and stuff.
If time is a plane, then why is it only one-dimensional
Isn't time, being the 4th dimension, similar to a point instead of a plane?
A god needs to be able to create things out of nothing too.
i'd go back in time to watch myself go back in time and then repeat
I would grab some future technology and go back in time and start a religion using my future technology to part oceans, transmutate water into wine, and cure blind people. I would be the biggest asshole on Earth.
I mean think about it. The definition of an omnipresent being is one who is everywhere at the same time. If you could travel not only forward, backward, up, down, left, right etc., but ALSO travel across the plane of time you could, in theory, be everywhere at once, both forever and since the beginning of time, thus making you an omnipresent being and thus God.
No, simple as that.
I don't get what's the point about going back in time with future technology to seem like a god to people. You'd be stuck in a time with no technology besides what you brought. EDIT Well ok, not really stuck if you could travel as much as you want I guess. If I could travel in time, I'd get some money (stocks or whatever. And by "some" I mean "craploads") and travel to the future to take a look at what it's like. Time travel is impossible, your very presence in the past could cause a time paradox, destroying the universe to rebuild the alternate reality.
Not if you program your mind into chemical structures. That's what happens AFTER the machines we program our minds into rust and fall apart. It's in 2001.
??? I don't remember the chemical structure mind programming
If you ever will travel back in time, you've already done it, so it's simple. Are you God? No? There's your answer.
If you ever will travel back in time, you've already done it, so it's simple. Are you God? No? There's your answer.
True, you're not a god, but people might consider you as a god if you travel back in time. Especially if you travel way back in time, having technology people could have never imagined at that period of time.
True, you're not a god, but people might consider you as a god if you travel back in time. Especially if you travel way back in time, having technology people could have never imagined at that period of time.
My point was, anything that will happen in the flow of time has already happened. So we can already say, travelling back in time is impossible, as we'd know if someone would have done it.
Nah, because cellular degeneration would continue regardless.
Isn't time, being the 4th dimension, similar to a point instead of a plane?
Nope, that's just stupid popular science name for it. 4th dimension is all the same like the 3 before it, and so is the rest. This is a 2D representation of real 4D cube. [editline]11:36PM[/editline] And on the topic - You wouldn't. At least in my book, the god existed before this universe, space and time. Even if you mastered time travel, you couldn't get out of this universe.
Id travel back to before the universe existed, thus resulting in an explosion creating the big bang as matter and energy is sucked into the empty void therefore creating the universe. Yup
My point was, anything that will happen in the flow of time has already happened. So we can already say, travelling back in time is impossible, as we'd know if someone would have done it.
Not true. If you were to go back in time you would probably cause a split and continue into an alternate timeline rather than the one you left.
I would only observe time, I would only intervene in my own past choices.
Not true. If you were to go back in time you would probably cause a split and continue into an alternate timeline rather than the one you left.
Based on what facts? You seem rather certain.
Based on what facts? You seem rather certain.
Based on my harry potter books. You forget I am an experienced time traveler.
Silly Dongmaster, God is a story for kids!
If you were immortal and could time travel, unless the universe was infinite in size or was eternal, you would be omnipresent.
the thread title is "If you could travel through time, would you be god?", shouldn't it be the other way around(if you were god, would you travel through time?)? see, time travel is only being able to traverse the plane of time, in order to be god, you must be able to work in n-dimensional(1D-infinity) spaces, manipulating them according to your sketchbook of existence.
what if?
If you could travel through time, you wouldn't be god, you'd be a time traveler. duh :downs:
Que paso¿
First, I'd have to go back and rape/kill enough ancestors to become immortal. Then, I can do whatever I want.
