My parents are devout prude Christians who'd never let me play Pokemon because they believed that it had some involvement with the occult. Now, they don't give a shit for what I play, even Left 4 Dead (I even showed some of it to my mom and she though that it was "interesting"), Half-Life 2, and Counter-Strike.
In fact, I think that as long as I skip a lot of the sexual content, my mom would let me buy the GTA series.

These people! I was simultaneously giggling and facepalming while watching this crap. It's incredible that a little over a year ago, I might've even taken these people seriously. If the Bible is to be believed, God designed our bodies to have both a redundant, shriveled organ called the appendix, which serves no purpose and sometimes gets inflamed and lethally explodes, AND to have the laryngeal nerve (which controls our vocal chords) drop way the Hell down into our chest before turning about face back up to the throat, rather than doing the efficient thing and just having the nerve go straight to the throat.

They represent what christians are SUPPOSED to believe. That's the problem.
All the moderates of all religions shun the fundamentalists they deem "extremist", typically because they themselves harbor more reasonable morals that they derive from modern Western values, and decidedly NOT from their holy books.
But the problem is, the fundamentalists are just doing what their holy book says to the LETTER. They OUGHT to be the most ideal representatives of their religions.
As a great man once said, the only problem with fundamentalists, are the fundamentals of their beliefs.
