....that wasn't why I said it was the best part.
Oh no, that's not what I'm saying either, sorry if you took it that way, I wasn't saying that to you. I'm just saying that Moore pulls shit out of his ass when it comes to simple stuff like that.
Best part of the movie:
Its great how he connects the Klan to the founding of the NRA, exspecially considering that the NRA was founded by Union Army officers in the north and Ulysses S. Grant was the 8th president of the organization. It fucking amazes me Michel Moore can produce such shit and masses of people gobble it up at a whim.
Because as we all know the kkk only had confederates as members and wasn't a national organization at all [editline]23rd September 2012[/editline]
Samuel Colt made the revolver to kill slaves.... I always liked this documentary.
Because as we all know the kkk only had confederates as members and wasn't a national organization at all
It was an organization based almost entirely in the South. Unless you want to argue those two union officers where in someway related to the KKK and that Ulysses S. Grant was too, the point is there is no fucking connection.
such a stupid documentary, towards the end it has nothing to do with the columbine massacre. it just goes on about a bunch of irrelevant shit, at which point, I stopped watching because it was so boring.
There is a movie called "Michael Moore Hates America" on Netflix. Pretty sure you should watch that directly after this. It sums it up pretty well. [editline]23rd September 2012[/editline] Oh hey it's free on Youtube.
There also has been several books written that fact check Michael Moore's films. I read one of them, its title put me off, but the research and fact checking was very well done. [editline]23rd September 2012[/editline]
wow that's a pretty huge leap from the narration because it didn't say that at all

"I wanna live, don't kill me big black man!" Well, just in the nick of time came Samuel L. Colt, who in 1836 invented the first weapon ever that could be fired over and over without having to reload!
Verbatim
Samuel L Colt invented the first repeating weapon around the time of a rapidly growing slave population Samuel L Colt invented the first repeating weapon in order to oppress the slaves explain how that sentence bridges that gap in any way
Even though Moore's documents are full of shit sometimes, I think they're interesting to watch.
I watched this years ago and just rewatched it to see what bullshit I could spot. I love how he uses his NRA membership as a way to be buffer his stupid "points". I wish he would have focused strictly on Columbine and interviewed more people directly related to it. It just seems like this was a documentary for those anti-gun folk to circlejerk to. Lax gun laws didn't lead to Columbine; it was a mix of people ignoring obvious warning signs, and the fact that the bullying problem at Columbine high school was as rampant as a bush fire. You take two children who are depressed, angry, social outcasts, and are constantly bullied; then you stick them together to form a dangerous relationship and of course you'll get two people who feed off of each other's anger to fuel their plans for revenge. I had a friend that was an amalgam of both Dylan and Eric; meaning that he had a lot of pent up anger, on top of being bullied. One day he talked to me about planning to shoot up our school. If I were like him or shared similar problems it could've happened; but instead, as a good friend I talked him out of it. I listened to him and ensured he sought help.
