Amorphis is great, but I've always loved Nevermore, and Godless Endeavors is such a great album, I would have it in my top 10.
Wheres Death Magnetic? :saddowns:
I don`t see how Nevermore is the least bit boring. Ever. At all...
This is boring.
This is boring.
Not in the least to me. There's emotion in his lyrics and his singing, the guitarist(Jeff Loomis) is a master. The drums are fine, it isn't their best song, but it's emotional and lyrics are extremely important to me. Also, where the flying FUCK is Down!? :( This list makes me really sad. [editline]05:18PM[/editline] System of a Down, Sunn O))), and and Superjoint Ritual are also all very noticeably missing. Seems borderline cheesy. I've never really understood what the big deal about Jeff Loomis is either. *Equips flame-retardant clothing* :science: [editline]05:21PM[/editline] Mudvayne, Municipal Waste, Job for a Cowboy, Cannibal Corpse... This list is so incomplete.

Jeff Loomis is also just a really good writer in terms of flow if you ask me. I don't think that cannibal corpse really deserves any mention on a top 100 list, their best work was from the 90's, and Job For a Cowboy, as much as I love them, you'll be crucified for mentioning them.
The Faceless and Electric Wizard. :saddowns: [editline]05:27PM[/editline]
Warrel dane has a fucked up and unique singing voice. And Cannibal Corpse has The Wretched Spawn, Kill, and Evisceration Plague. All very worthy, and very Metal albums in my opinion. I'll be honest, I miss chris Barnes, and Six Feet Under only fills so much of that gap. [editline]03:30PM[/editline]
[editline]05:28PM[/editline] Sounds like a wannabe Bruce Dickenson.
I don't see how. Singing operaticly has nothing to do with Bruce. He sounds like a much more emotional and connected singer than bruce has ever been for me. Might just be that I prefer Paul Diano Maiden more than Brucy.
Porcupine Tree isn't metal aaaaaaaaaaugh

His enunciation and consistency is what makes him great for me. Enslaved has never made anything better than this.
missing a lot of non-mainstream thrash. Hospital of Death, Evile, etc
No Wolves in the Throne Room? Yet they have Progressive Rock albums on a Metal list. I even disagree with Opeth - Damnation.
Sorely lacking Sybreed.
1.) Alot of the Progressive bands have "Metal" elements. Such as PT. 2.) The voting was done here. If anybody is interested, I think I might do one for FP.
I really think Cynic's Traced in Air should have a higher position. As far as I'm concerned, that album is truly outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone who isn't even into metal; to me it transcends genre.

well if it's just voting on a forum no one knows about no big deal
Excellent list. A good variety of bands.
No Anaal Nathrakh, this list is void
Anaal Nathrakh deserves to be on this list near the top. Best black metal in a long... long fucking time.
Why does everyone fucking love metal here?
Why does everyone fucking love metal here?
Because metal is amazing. Do I need say more? :fuckyou:
Why does everyone fucking love metal here?
The real question is why does everyone in this quote not fucking love Metal here. :colbert:
Because metal is amazing. Do I need say more? :fuckyou:
lie more you mean?
lie more you mean?
What's BAD about metal? Answer us this, what OBJECTIVELY about metal, is bad?
What's BAD about metal? Answer us this, what OBJECTIVELY about metal, is bad?
it's just a bunch of people screaming about killing people and shit.
it's just a bunch of people screaming about killing people and shit.
Stop trolling. [editline]05:00PM[/editline]
oshit yes Alcest's latest album is a masterpiece Also Across the Dark, Everything Remains(as it Never Was) and Oath Bound should all definitely be in that list But other than that I'd say it's pretty solid. [editline]08:56PM[/editline] I'd assume that it's a poll or something. People of the metal community can vote for their favourite album of the decade, and then they turned it into a list, most voted at the top.
I think Souvenirs is Alcest's best album, but the latest is still fantastic. Easily one of my favorite releases this year, along with Les Discret's album.
Great another Anti-Metal and the like shitstorm. However I hope this is just a troll.
I like how it's just mainstream bands that people who've know about metal for a day or two listen to. (Entry level) But since it's probably a voted list And when Vektor's Black Future isn't on the nr. 1 spot of any list(of recent good albums etc.) it loses all credibility.

Besides, metal is too diverse for any of these lists to have any credibility :colbert:
