What's your light cycle like? Do they stay exclusively in the tent?
18/6 they stay in the tent.
i only got them tuesday but my dad got 6 and 4 of his died as well
I've been collecting bonsai for the better part of a year just bought my 4th today the brown leaved fellow on the right is still recovering, his friend has regrown all his leaves after losing them.
They're all hanging on nicely after the winter.

Any clue to why they're dying?
My mom put them outside during a rainstorm to water them
My girlfriend and I have been steadily growing our family of plants. First they were being piled on my printer, then I ended up making a small shelf for them with some scrap wood, then when that filled I bought some larger shelfing for them.
The only problem is that our apartment is on the first floor and right next to a university, so we don't receive much sun. When our plants started to slowly die from lack of sun I decided to invest in an LED stip to install in the shelfing unit, and now the plants are starting to look better.

I would have never guessed that shelf was hand made from scrap wood, well done.
Also holy shit I haven't seen a view master in maybe two decades
It just needed some sanding and varnish. It's pretty easy. The viewmaster is my girlfriend's. She bought it from a thrift shop awhile back.
dunno, i rigged up some janky as fuck ventilation

Last repotting, a bit late because the store ran out of soil. I noticed that the top 4 pepper plants seemed to lack nutrients, so I went for houseplant soil, which is much richer in nutrients (hopefully not too rich). I'm already happy my Reaper and Aji Dulce are thriving. We'll see how the rest will do.
I also removed a few leaves at the bottom to promote growth at the top, since I find them a bit too wide :P.
The tomato plant seems to not give any fucks, I think it grew like 30% in height in the past weeks .

I've had bad luck growing peppers in the past. I've tried growing Cacho de Cabra three times so far. The he first died from a gnat infestation which spread to my apartment from my building's garden area because they started putting down mulch and overwatered it, the second died due to lack of sun, and the third died after I accidentally knocked it off it's shelf.
On the bright side our cacti and succulents are doing well. Also one of my students gifted me a San Pedro cactus today, so I'm pretty hype. I just hope I don't accidentally hurt it during the bike ride home.

You've added a fan, but is there an exhaust? What is the temperature of the room?
You shouldn't have that many fail and die, even under crazy circumstances. From the size of the original pictures, I can tell you that it is time to transplant. It seems like your 2 mains are starting to die compared to the original image you posted. I also think your light is too close to the plants themselves.
I would love to help you out, man. I just need more info.
i disposed of the four dead ones, of the two remaining one was droopy when i woke up saturday/sunday (the one you can see in the last picture) and one seems to be doing pretty well it has quite a few small new leaves
the room is 68-69℉ i have a fan and filter but i havnt set it up yet i opened some ports so air can escape. using soil from a hydro shop as the medium and ionic soil grow every third watering.
this is my first grow, my dad who has a lot of experience is helping me out he got me the cuttings but he said 7 died straight away
i want to replant the good one into a bigger container but im worried about it dieing as well

Aw, man. Sounds like you got some shitty clones :rollout: Everything else you're doing right so it has to be the plants themselves.
Your single surviving plant looks really good. Make sure you let the soil dry a good amount before watering. How old are they now and how big are the current pots? If it's under 5 gallons, chances are your roots are cramped. I've never used any of the Ionic products, but I typically don't use any nutrients on mine until they're well-established.
Here's what mine look like at ~6 weeks

thanks for replying, your plants look great. i think the current pots are 8 litre, ill pick up some 20/25L tomorrow
im not sure how old they are, i got them a week and half ago
do you mean using a heating mat at first? i was thinking i would start from seed next time
No, a heat mat would be too hot. You need humidity more than anything, fresh clones have no roots and only take in water through their leaves until the roots do form. But if they were already established, and not babies, it was something else.
Starting from seed is always the best route to go, in my opinion. Especially if you know where they're coming from and they have good genetics. Besides this thread, you can DM in the future if you have any questions.
I'm planning to grow all black flowers and plants in my garden Depending on the seasons, they will either bloom this year or next year. Can't wait!
Small garden photo update, since this thread hasn't been active for a bit. (Can anyone tell me why some photos are whole links while others have that obnoxious imgur border around them?)
Roma tomatoes. (Anyone know how to deal with bottom rot? I don't recall if that's the exact name for the issue, but it's when the bottom of the tomato rots on the vine)

Green Peppers. Not growing too large this year

A few months back, I became a member of the Arbor Day Foundation: Buy Trees and Learn About Trees
As a gift to become a member, they sent me 10 trees (4 varieties). Here a few that survived and began to leaf. I don't recall what each one is, though I tried to capture their tag in the photos:

do you grow indoors or outdoors only? its nearly time to switch the plant i have to flowering so i have been thinking about how to set up the filtration
I do both. I live in California though so I don't have to worry about smell or anything like that. I can help you though, what's your question?
i was wondering if i should go filter>fan>silencer and dumping the air in the same room or filter>fan>ducting and out a window, i dont think temperature and humidity are a big issue where i am its only gone up a degree or two even with the heatwave in the uk atm, usually the tent is under 70 degrees
i can see how recycling hot air would be a big issue when using HPS
I probably wouldn't stick ducting out a window if you live anywhere near other people, it's not worth something twigging and dobbing you in.
I would personally go the recycling route, especially if it isn't hotter than 90 degrees. It's just those few plants right? Blowing out a window is too risky, your other option with ducting is physically going through the walls and out the roof or connect it to one of the heat exhaust lines. But I think you said you live in an apartment so I'm not sure how doable that would be.
thanks, i will try recycling, i can always make changes if i need to before it gets super smelly.
got around to hanging everything, even with ratchets its a pain in the ass to do it on your own

i wasnt sure about the fan i chose but its got pretty good throughput on its slow setting and i cant hear it above the led

Here's what's on my little greenhouse. Two apples to the far left, two basil and two oregano on the front. In the two larger pots are two scotch brain chili plants.
Dahlia leeks I planted around April or May

How old is your grape vine?
At least 20 years old, they were there before we moved in. This house is almost 50 years old now, so I don't think it's too unrealistic to assume it's between 30-40 years old. It has quite a thick stem. .
Really nice. My fiance and I recently bought a grape vine that is supposedly "pot friendly" and "will produce the first year". We put it in a giant pot around late March and so far it's only produced about 7 or 8 leaves on it and no other new branches.
Kind of getting tired of the "will produce first year" gimmick, but hopefully it actually grows some in size by next summer.
