99% favor A, 1% favor getting OP in jail by lying to police. (I also vote A. Put that fucker back where he belongs. Even if he is your brother. Take custody of the child)
You won't go to jail for lying to the cops, they're not gonna do any tests or anything, just act convincing. Family or government, make a pick.
C Fuck him, and aid the police with his whereabouts, don't worry about your nephew, hopefully he will get a better home, would you want him with your brother? Think what he would turn into. If I were you, I would have screwed him over a long time ago.:clint:
But when he comes out of jail in 15 years he will be coming to revenge on you probably if he can find you.(like trough connections he gets in jail)
Doesn't mean he hasn't corrected his issues. You're all telling the OP to send his own fucking brother to jail for at least seven fucking years for something that no longer affects him, doesn't anyone here feel that it's the wrong thing to do?
Identity. Theft. Muthafucka. It does still affect him.
Mod should make a poll, even though the overwhelming majority has already voted A.
This isn't a vote. He just wants FP's opinion.
It STILL AFFECTS HIM. He JUST SAID that his brother is hiding out at his house. You get a Dumb.
READ OP. HIS BROTHER MOVED OUT HIS HOUSE. Euthanise yourself [editline]04:29PM[/editline]
Identity. Theft. Muthafucka. It does still affect him.
From what I gathered from the OP he could quite easily have the offenses in his name corrected without handing his brother over Problem solved [editline]04:32PM[/editline]
He deserves to go to prison. Even if what he did was for the right intentions. Lets take a look at his crimes based on what you have told us. Attempted Murder Assault Possibly Grievous Bodily Harm from the attempted murder Obstruction of Justice Identity Theft Resisting arrest If convicted he's probably already facing 15+ years to Life, if they find out about his attempted murder. I don't know what his sentence will be as I don't know the American? legal system too well. And probably much more. That, and he's using you and your family to save his own ass. He hasn't given you anything in the past, don't expect it now. Call the cops and book his ass.
Attempted Murder (Years ago when he was a kid) Assault (Years ago when he was a kid) Possibly Grievous Bodily Harm from the attempted murder (Years ago when he was a kid) Obstruction of Justice Identity Theft (Read the rest of my post) Resisting arrest
This decision isnt that easy after all
C, ask police to keep you anonymous out of fear of revenge. Your brother is using you and will continue using you. Police won't do anything to you for keeping him in your home, since he could have possibly reacted aggressively (he doesn't sound like the calmest guy of the block) and your father did it. Police and court of law do understand things like family ties. His kid will be better off without him. It's tough to say that, but he isn't good role model. At all. And taking his kid when running from police? WHEN THE KID IS SICK!? What kind of shit is that? Certainly nothing what good father would do. Do the C. I would call your county police and turn him in if I knew your family name and stuff, but that might get you charged for keeping the criminal at your house because you can't explain it if you don't turn him in yourself.
I would call your county police and turn him in if I knew your family name and stuff
Please, for the sake of decency, nobody attempt to do this. No third party should be involved. This is my own affair and I will deal with it accordingly. I only want your thoughts, I don't want your help.

People have been arrested over smaller charges and have been found to have been guilty of attempted murder and such.
C. He's going to fucking die.
Choice should be obvious: he fucking tried to KILL you, turn his ass in and tell the police where he is.
Pick A, but don't fuck over his son
I'll say this, as I'm sure it as been said but, I'd say pick A. If the police finds out you lied, not only will he go to jail, but you may as well.
I'm gonna go with A. Also, C is impossible. You can't tell the cops "the man you want is on the other side of town" without then at least asking for some details. Enough details, in fact, to where you would be better off with A, so you wouldn't be charged with 'aiding a criminal'.
Doesn't matter. People have been arrested over smaller charges and have been found to have been guilty of attempted murder and such.
Your point being?
If he would have atleast come forward and told the truth and everything when you confronted him it may have been different, but I'm thinking A
Your point being?
Meaning that when he is arrested, someone were to bring up that he attempted to kill the OP before, he will be charged.
Don't sit on your ass waiting for the police to come knocking at your door for him. Your brother is clearly a dangerous and unstable individual, and a threat to both your family and his own. He has little to no respect for you, as his theft of your identity shows. Him using your father's home as a safehouse is a danger in itself. It's best for you (and your extended family) if he's sent to jail. C is desirable. Be sure to tell the police you don't want to be mentioned in the investigation, due to the previous attempted murder and whatever else he's done. He's used up all of his chances.
I don't know if this has been posted yet but your brother may need help. From what I read in there(I'm no psychologist), he sounds like a potential Sociopath. He needs to see a psychologist, preferably from behind bars.
C. Your nephew will have a much better life without a huge douche as his father.
Sounds like you have this victim/ holier than thou complex going. However, fuck loyalty, you don't want to lie to the police; turn him in.
Play baseball with his fucking head.
Lying is a crime too
My condolences go out to you OP
Tell the police that he tried to kill you when you were 7 and he will be in jail for long teime [editline]02:43AM[/editline] seriously he tried to kill you why should you care about someone who tried to fucking kill you?
I understand that you want to keep your nephew safe. I would still tell the police the true identity. Best of luck to you and your family.
If he tried to kill you, taking away his freedom by turning him in seems like a great idea! Turning him in won't fix anything and if he is as horrible as you make him out to be then he will most likely seek revenge. Good luck.
