It seems more 'real' to me that A) once everyone sees Iron Man they will want their own suit and therefore B) the only people crazy enough to challenge Iron Man will be the ones who somehow get their hands on a suit.
The first one was much better, in my opinion.

Watching it tonight at local cinema
Goddamn you guys are hopeless. Just try giving a look at the imdb page if you're that desperate for the soundtrack. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1228705/soundtrack

was anyone else disappointed with whiplash in this movie?
was anyone else disappointed with whiplash in this movie?
He's only in two battle scenes, spends most of the film whining about how he vants his bord, and in the final battle, appears for about two minutes wearing a generic iron man suit. I'd say I was disappointed.
It was cool, but here is my huge problem with the Iron Man movies: The guy he fights is ALWAYS just another guy in an Iron Man type suit. In the first movie it was the old guy in a big gray metal suit. In the second movie first he fought Don Cheadle in a big gray metal suit, then he fought the Russian guy in a big gray metal suit. It's like, look at the villains in Spiderman and Batman. Surely they can come up with something more interesting than "it's another Iron Man except he's gray, and bigger. Oh and he has electric whips"
Well he is in some bulletproof, mechanised suit...
Well he is in some bulletproof, mechanised suit...
What? What?
Oh my god. This movie was 90% dialog 10% action. It was good, but I was left a little disappointed.
^ I got a little uninterested. Good guy always wins, no one gets harmed. It was okay, not top of the line expectation met. My opinion though.
Eh, it was okay. Not as good as the first though. I found myself really bored during the middle, and there wasn't enough fights to make up for it.
I just got back from it. It had enough cameos and nods to trigger quite a few nerdgasms. [sp]Cap's shield to hold up the Particle Accelerator and Thor's Hammer were the only major ones, right? Did anyone catch any names in the final SHIELD scene? The maps in the background highlighted enough areas that looked reasonable for a few Avengers, not all the originals, maybe some of the newer ones? There were also some other screens, I didn't exactly see what was on them, but something was wrecked. Could've just been stuff on the events at the expo, but it seemed like just the place to put something about, say, the Hulk.[/sp] Also, Stan Lee was Larry King this time, right?
[sp]In the scene where Nick Fury is debriefing him there's a report of an attack on Culver University[/sp]

Every other member of the Avengers is too lame to get a cameo.
Anyone stay to the end of the credits? There is a secret clip at the end of the movie.
[sp]Captain America's shield in the film might hint to this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458339/[/sp]
[sp]Captain America's shield in the film might hint to this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458339/[/sp]
Obviously. They're making individual films for each Avenger.
And then in 2012 they're all coming together for an Avengers movie.
[sp]Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the Hammeroids will be developed into Hulkbusters.[/sp]
[sp]Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the Hammeroids will be developed into Hulkbusters.[/sp]
That never crossed my mind, but it makes sense now that I think about it.
is this worth seeing in theaters I heard that it was worse than the first
okay question. i was watching the credits and i saw that robert downey jr. had 2 assistants -- however it also listed an assistant for a "ms. downey" does anyone know who this is? i don't think it's his sister. [editline]1:52[/editline] oh nevermind, i think it's his wife/producer. the "ms." threw me off.
Ok I saw this movie, it can be summed up into this: It was a fine movie, not a worthy sequel.
It was fucking good. Also the after the credits sequence was awesome. [editline]02:11AM[/editline] I liked how war machine was integrated. I guess black widow was pretty good, but she was only in one scene, and the emotionless state besides that was on purpose.
Fuckin' what the hell is Super 8?
I personally really liked this movie. More than the first even. Sure it was dialogue heavy but that doesn't make it bad. The dialogue was good and engaging, and the humor was great as well. I also thought that, even though it wasn't too action heavy, the action scenes were really well done. Especially the final one [sp]against the drones and Ivan.[/sp] Hell, the first one wasn't really that action heavy either, all there was was the break out from the terrorist camp, the fight against the terrorists, and the final battle. All of which were rather short. I felt the finale in this one actually gave it more action than the first one. The only thing that bugged me was that [sp]suited Ivan seemed like a huge pushover. They have a bit of a scuffle, he grabs them with his whips, then they do their whole cross the streams shindig and he's dead. Would have liked to see more of him with his original whip thingy design.[/sp]
Fuckin' what the hell is Super 8?
I wondered the same thing. And I still have no clue what the plot of Inception is.
