Just come back from seeing it and i fucking loved it! its nice to see they took the complaint about more fighting needed seriously this time round the effects were great and so was the story, i'd say its better than the first but i love the first aswell so i'll say they're both incredibly good movies.

The movie was pretty badass but the first one was better IMO. As expected.

Fucking badass movie! Can't wait for the third one. The Avengers movie is going to be sickass as well!

OK, just got back from watching it. My thoughts: Humour's still there, some nice banter between the characters, acting is of a high standard, all the performances were good. Action sequences were great, much more, and better fighting than the last one, although the lack of 1-hit kill mooks was somewhat unwelcome. I mean, if you want to see a movie about robots fighting, this is your best bet, unlless you actually like those terrible transformers movies. Scarlett Johansson put on a good performace, I genuinely don't understand why rusty hates her so much. However, her, Samuel L Jackson, and in fact the entire S.H.I.E.L.D arc come off as somewhat unnecessary to the movie, and in fact one of the final scenes basically outright states that it's all a big trailer for 'The Avengers' releasing 2012, (which to be fair looks pretty awesome, according to IMDB Joss Whedon is directing. How true that is is up for debate.) So essentially, action was of a higher standard than the first one, although the film is definitely a little inferior. Still the best recent superhero franchise outside of Batman though. The scene itself was somewhat entertaining, if a little redundant. It was effectively pepper's role in the climax of the first film, just with more kung-fu.
