Yu-Gi-Oh! Megathread - General

Just made myself an anti special summon and effect monster deck. Makes me feel real good. Oh and I can summon Obelisk every time without trouble. [editline]18th July 2011[/editline] I beat a Six Samurai and Lightsworn deck easy so far.

That Yugi vs. Yusei duel was ridiculous, just wanted to mention that. DAT DAMAGE EATER!

Anyone know a place that can give me some tips on building a deck? I checked on the yugioh wiki but found it hard to navigate.

Zombie deck.

Some people on Dueling network are rediciously bad, I made a deck with nothing but power cards (god cards and the like) and I've only lost 5 times out of 37 duels with a deck that I got the cards out of the tv show with.

How big is the connection between 5D's and Zexal? I really want to watch Zexal but I feel like I have to finish 5D's first so I'm considering skipping it if there isn't that big of a connection.

How do you guys feel about a Synthetic Angel deck?

Synthetic Angel? Never heard of the card/archetype EDIT: Oh Counter Fairies? Yeah go for it, they are really really good at slowing the game down to a pace you can win at.

Just made myself a Zombie/Dragon deck that uses Obelisk. Won a fair amount of duels using it. Most of them I never even drew Obelisk though. :v:

And if I get into it again, since I forgot how to play I'll probably do it again. edit: post failure into quote

Yeah I already started watching it and yep, there seems to be no connection whatsoever, no synchro monsters even. Also Yuma is a horrible duelist.

Just go back and finish 5D's the finale is among the best duels in Yu-Gi-Oh history.

i take it you've never started out with a full hand of trap/spell cards and stalled for as long as possible only to draw nothing 5 turns later [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline] and that was mostly sarcasm, I didn't actually mean 90% y'know, was just implying it played a big role

Decks that rely on a specific strategy will always fail. This does not mean that I haven't started with a bad hand, but this only happens once every dozen duels or so. Next time please don't be sarcastic when you're trying to convey a point, it really masks it.
