Skull Lair is a piece of fucking bullshit
I fucking love it though.
That require so many resources to summon, that are not worth the time and effort. Syncro's can easily be summoned with almost any combination of cards and normally have a secondary effect benefit.
Are you joking? Fusion monster also have effects as well, as well as I've yet to see a Synchro monster with 10,000ATK.
There's also synchros and tuners that are normal monsters without any effects.

it's Super Saiyan Vegeta with a duel disk
Since you guys probably know this, is black luster soldier envoy of the beginning(or something) a rare card? I got it in my cards that lie rotting in my drawer and I thought it was rare. :O

Semi-rare card that is illegal to use in tourneys.
[editline]14th July 2011[/editline]
Just made me a FHD deck, I get to summon him instantly. I've beaten a lightsworn's deck 6 times now easy. I've only been beaten once, by an Ojama deck.
Hey guys.
Used to love YGO back in the day :v:
I might watch it again actually, considering when I watched I was like seven and it probably made no sense. Although, I do fancy this online YGO, except I don't like the idea you can just take whatever cards you want, isn't there a game where you can buy packs of cards or like get money from battles etc etc?
I'd much rather do that than fight people with an OP deck..

Rare card, illegal in most competitions.
Are these cards worth anything anymore?
Is there anyway to play a duel network version of YGO, except you need to buy your cards with ingame cash?

I don't know why in the fuck you would ever do that but I think Yugioh Online has that shit.
I don't know why in the fuck you would ever do that but I think Yugioh Online has that shit.
Because I don't like the idea of getting all of the cards without the effort then can go into a duel and be destroyed by someone with a 10x better deck than you
then how about not making a shit deck and learning how to defeat powerful decks?
you sound like some of the people who cry 'no synchros' all the time
I somewhat agree, trying to find rare cards was half the fun of YGO. The people are the Dueling Network are the equivalent of Smogonfags in Pokémon. As in they take the metagame too seriously and play for skill rather than fun.

You know, you don't have to be such a cunt in your responses, you could just reply nicely instead of being a cocky bastard, but whatever.
Thanks anyway
Back before the game got all supercharged and full of ridiculously powerful cards, you pretty much had to rely on strategy as opposed to a strong deck.

The official Yu-Gi-Oh website has a game you can download that's like that I believe.
Are these cards worth anything anymore?
Depends on which ones. The ones that are really rare can fetch almost $1k while others are worthless.
[editline]14th July 2011[/editline]
Still has nothing on Magic the Gathering though, those cards can go into the tens of thousands.

They do ruin the game :v:
But yeah, building a deck is mainly what the game is about. Trading is just something that makes sure only the most dedicated people get the best cards.

The only real skill in YGO is deck building and Autism.
Anyone here still using dueling network?
Duel me, if so. Username is same as here. I'm waiting!
Mine is forge10. Right now I'm taking a shit so I can't duel you.
So, I want to get back into this shit.
I stopped playing around the end of Chimeratech OTK. I used to run a machine/Cyber Dragon deck, it was so so fun.
Can anyone explain to me the rough metagame nowadays (I've read into Synchro monsters, don't know about these sort of decks, but I understand how the cards work). I've got money to blow, so any tins/starter decks/shit worth buying atm I can get (though I'd rather not spend the money on single cards).
Found my old main decklist, here it is:
Monsters:
2x Submarineroid
3x Gyroid
3x Reflect Bounder
2x Ancient Gear Beast
3x Cyber Dragon
3x Proto-Cyber Dragon
1x Blowback Dragon
1x Snipe Hunter
1x Cyber Phoenix
1x Jinzo
Magic:
1x Swords of Revealing Light
1x Premature Burial
1x Smashing Ground
1x Overload Fusion
1x Heavy Storm
1x Future Fusion
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Power Bond
1x Lightening Vortex
1x Polymerzation
2x Shrink
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Limiter Removal
Trap:
1x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Sakuretsu Armour
1x Ceasefire
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Magic Jammer
1x Trap Jammer
1x Mirror Force
Fusion Deck:
2x Cyber Twin Dragon
2x Cyber End Dragon
1x Chimeratech Overdragon
Is it possible to run anything similar to this now? I'm not bothered about it being overly competitive, though it needs to be okay, but I would like to be able to do okay :) Obviously my old deck wasn't perfect, but about as good as I could get it. Cheers for any responses/deckbuilds guys :)
Oh also, just found my random other deck I used to use. Nowhere near as good as that one was, but hey ho:
Monsters:
1x Zarborg The Thunder Monarch
1x Sagan
1x Needle Worm
1x Wall of Illusion
1x 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom
1x D.D. Warrior Lady
1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
1x Ill Cat of Omen
1x Mobius the Frost Monarch
1x Neo-Spacian Glow Moss
3x Hydrogeddon
3x Cyber Dragon
2x Gyroid
2x Destiny Hero - Defender
Magic:
2x Snatch Steal
1x Card Destruction
2x Enemy Controller
Trap:
3x Sakuretsu Armour
3x Magic Cylinder
1x Magical Arm Shield
1x Compulsory Evacuation Device
1x Trap Hole
1x Pineapple Blast
1x Ceasefire
1x Threatening Roar
1x Ring of Destruction
1x Torrential Tribute

Cyber Dragons were always good, but Synchros will wreck your shit unless you have some anti-synchro cards in there.
Well I don't even know how to play against them. Why're they so amazing? Is it speed, or is there like a King Synchro monster everyone uses?
Also, edited in my other old deck. Is Cyber Dragon limited still?
If anyone can link me to a typical synchro deck build/an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! with a Synchro duel in, I'll get an idea aha. Any any machine/Cyber Dragon deckbuilds would be nice :)
No Cyber Dragon's at three, and they just announced a new legendary collection of cards chock full of GX stuff, time to blow all my money again.
Awesome.
How the hell do you play this Dueling Network thing then? Like, how do you activate effects of cards and stuff?
Sounds fun!
Awesome.

You pretty much just play the card and tell your opponent in chat that you're activating the effect.
Yeah, played a couple of duels (very poorly on my part) and yeah. If you wanna play I'm DanTheBib on there too :)

Added you and FinalHunter.
You have not played Ranked yet and FinalHunter has twice the games as me, but more loses (I have 1-1. he has 1-3 ratio).
Where do you come up as my friend then? I see nothing yet.
And yes, I'm currently playing my third game, getting another ass whooping.

You won't see me unless you yourself add me, if I remember correctly. My username is forge10, go to the Profile Viewer and search that name and there should be a button on the bottom that says "Add Friend". Hope that helped.
Ah cheers dude. Wanna duel? If so I'll use facepunch as the password :)

Alright. Unranked Advanced if you will.
YESSSS, this son-of-a-gun finally arrived! It's going straight into my deck
