I feel bad for the poor souls that do fanart of the guy. At least PDP + other popular Let's Players are decent people off-camera with dedicated artists. DSP is the total opposite, and most we get are crappy Shopped' photos of his face on wallpaper screenshots. I mean look at this shit. The makers of these videos need to make a torrent or something so we can just download them all. I've gotta start archiving these.

The Black Mesa and The Evil Within are pretty good too. A big problem is that people now seem to fight each other to be the first to make a "this is how you don't play" video of the latest game DSP played, even if the playthrough wasn't bad. Hell, some people just take DSP's videos and make a small compilation of moments when he loses/dies without adding anything else to the video (comments, sounds, fun stuff etc) and simply name it "this is how you don't play xxx". How fucking lazy. Who would want to watch that ?

I only know of DSP because of the "This is how you DON'T play" videos. He seems like a bit of a fucking spastic.

If someone saw how I played games, they would cry. I'm kind of an idiot that misses really important details and stuff. In Portal, I'll completely miss a small section of a wall that I can shoot a portal on and stuff, and in other games I'll miss cues on where the levels are meant to lead to and I'll end up some how literally outside of the level. When I see this guy being picked apart, the only thing I care about is him having a good time. If he criticizes the game for being bad or calls others an idiot with their games, that's when it's called for. But this guy is just playing a game of Minecraft. I skipped around and didn't see him criticizing the game or anything, and instead I think he actually laughed at himself. Does he criticize the game for being shitty? Because I'm not watching the entire video.

He plays to the audience and spends a lot of time staring at an offscreen guide. However for many games he trashes them, calls the developers garbage, and personally insults people. (Kojima and Troy Baker being the most targeted).

this is probably the worst "how not to play" ever made because every fuckup just shows how bad Minecraft is to new players rather than being standard DSP. He gets stuck in a lake because Minecraft never makes clear you hold left click to remove a block. He spends forever looking up how to build things because why would you look at achievements for a game guide. He builds a house out of slabs because it sounds like a building material. (ok planks do too I guess but I'll forgive it because confused as fuck) He can't work out how to place a roof because needing to look at an existing face isn't something he's expecting. he tries to work out how to make a campfire because who would make a smelting furnace to grill pork.
