It was done by the guy who directed Cloverfield, and although I think the Swedish one was better, Let Me In had some great talent and dedication behind it.
That was good but I couldn't stand the awful CGI it had at parts, though. That shit really wasn't needed.

Let the Right One In is infinitely better than Let Me In

Let Me In started the return of Hammer Horror Productions, which is a good thing, even though the film is no way able to top Let The Right One In.

No! Let The Right One In is a great film. 98% on Rotton Tomatoes cannot be wrong.

Let The Right One In is the original, we're talking about Let Me In, the scene for scene remake that was in english because we're so culture depraved that we can't read some fucking subtitles and watch the movie the way that it was made to be watched.
I didn't really like the original movie too much though. We'll see how this goes.
I saw Noomi Rapace nude in real life. Just wanted to tell, thought it was kinda cool.
Else this remake looks promising. The trailer captures the mood quite well.
that trailer was fucking awesome, I am officially fucking hyped

actually that was so good that I think I'll go out and read the book

Wait what
Aha well, i was expecting the trailer to get taken down quickly. Instead it took them 4 days fucking hell. Anyways yeah, there goes the trailer FFFFFFF
Swedish version was awesome, no need to remake it.
I kinda agree on this, since it's quite loyal to the novel. Although, David Fincher finally got his head out of his ass and now is back on making Thrillers. Will see the Fincher version cause of my respect on his films: Se7en, The Game, and of course Fight Club.
I've read all the books and seen all the films (I thought the books were much better to be honest) but I'm kind of looking forward to these films, mostly all because of Fincher and Reznor....
The website: http://dragontattoo.com/ is now on.
There's HQ Teaser too.

It's in green band too.
do you know what 'remake of a recent film' I cannot decide is good or not?
Funny Games
They are EXACTLY the same movie (even by the same director) but the theme kinda suits America more.
I think I liked the Austrian/German version a little bit more, because the acting was more disturbing.
Edit: I was talking about Funny Games by the way, not about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

What? You mean the Swedish?
I didn't even know Stieg Larsson had died.
Goddamnit.

What's German?
but the thing that put me off the most was that the main character was so damn ugly
i don't like ugly people and i don't enjoy looking at them
there i said it
Fuck believable characters, show me some tight ass and big boobies so I can masturbate to a character I after the movie can relate to...
What's German?
Funny games, man.
I know that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was a Swedish film.
I've read the first two books but stopped pretty early on on the third book....it's just not gripping.

I enjoyed both honestly, I'd imagine that the director decided to go and take the very rare opportunity to remake his own movie and get money from it
Fuck believable characters, show me some tight ass and big boobies so I can masturbate to a character I after the movie can relate to...
i didn't get any emotional connection with the character because i don't know how to relate to ugly people
She was fucking hot as hell

TELL ME MORE
Shameless bump but I read the book when I was on a long car journey and I now cannot wait for this; the book is mostly dialogue but that's what fincher excels at; he managed to make a 2 hour long film about people typing commands into a linux terminal then going through lengthy court proceedings gripping, I can't wait to see what he does with material as good as this.
