That must have been really awkward. People need to learn to respect what other people can tolerate watching. Not ruin it for the people who paid money and even knew what was coming (rated R doesn't seem to count much these days.)
I would have loved to been there though. I bet that person will be "traumatized" and never hear the noise of floor waxers the same as I did.
To be fair, the worst bit for me is where [sp]Salander's kick a massive steel dildo up Bjurman's arse[/sp]. Everyone at the cinema winsed in sequence.
Great film!
wow the movie was awesome
i didnt watch any trailers or synopses before watching it
it had unexpected scenes, like [sp]dildo scene[/sp] but it was cool, funny.

I don't know if they had a pre-existing medical condition or whether they were just that horrified so I'm not gonna jump to any conclusions
but if they did come into the film not expecting something that grim I honestly dislike them, not watching half the film over again at the cinema
The movie's worth watching, but the book is far better.
It's about 3 hours long or so, but I was captivated by every single minute of it.
There was a dude not far from me in the theatre who was breathing heavily during the rape scene, And I had no idea there was a rape scene, And I was baked. Needless to say I was uncomfortable, Enjoyed the movie though.

i had no idea it had rape in it it came as a sudden death for me
but i lol'd then
I'm actually very interested in how many people have actually read the book.
The film is good and the books are good, and I've personally read all three books. Enjoyed them big time.
Am I the only one that didn't like the opening sequence? It was cool, but completely clashed with the tone of the film. I felt like it was going to become a Bond movie for a minute.

That was awesome. The exact moment our heroin stopped being a helpless little victim.

Tim Miller did a great job I think
wow, that start sequence is awesome

...
I need to see this movie.
I saw the film several weeks ago and whenever I visit this thread I draw a blank on what to say. [sp]when the guy unbuckled his belt I heard some people sniker and laugh then went dead silent as the film progressed[/sp] I hope the next two will be great, I found the 2nd and 3rd swedish films hard to follow in the middle and the third movie a little dry, (but the two have many fanastic parts).
I want to see the rape scene now
Just saw this. I think this movie was... ok. Definitely better than the original, but worse than book.
Daniel Craig was awesome. I like him more as a financial journalist, than a badass agent. Rooney Mara was awesome too. Great ass, great [sp]rape[/sp]. It get a bit messy at the end, but overall is ok.
Sadly, I read the book. And after (BIG SPOILER)[sp]killing the Martin[/sp] almost everything (except [sp]big ":(" on Lisbeth face at the very end[/sp]) was wrong. They've changed the case with Harriet ([sp]in book, Harriet was in Australia, and started new life; didn't get life of her cousin[/sp]) and Wenerstorm. Maybe that last half and hour just can't be adapted right, because it was wrong in swedish version too.
I haven't read the book so what did both films do wrong? Though I should read the book before I ask.

First of all, it's not WRONG. It's just changed, adapted.
And second, [sp]she was in Australia living a new life in the Swedish version[/sp], as you said happens in the book. How is that wrong too?

Shit, I was watching Swedish version two years ago. Looks like I need to re-watch it, and make a comparison for real.
Awesome movie, David Fincher has yet to disappoint me. The visuals were beautiful, the soundtrack was awesome, and the story was great. A little difficult for me to follow with all the characters, but I understood it well at the end.
The movie is great, but one thing that kind of disturbed me is[sp]how the movie kept going after the whole mystery was solved.
I mean, the last 25 minutes of the movie were pretty unnecessary.[/sp]
was it? i thought it wrapped the movie up and gave lots of closure
One of the better movies I saw over the last year.

I think it was very necessary. [sp]That part told us a lot about Lisbeth character. Also, it finished whole Wennerstrom thing.
Oh, and Lisbeth hates Mikael now. It is very important[/sp]

Yes because[sp]by the first 2 hours it wasn't just completely clear how she is a brilliant
computer hacker and she gets whatever she wants. I was referring the whole
bank money theft, not the final few shots which show the end of their relations. (which were fine)[/sp]

At some point you are right. In book it was solved better, but in Fincher's movie whole part after [sp]Martin's death[/sp] was worse. [sp]Except last shot :<[/sp]
Rooney Mara got Oscar nomination for Best Actress!
Oh, and also nominations for:
- Cinematography
- Editing
- Sound Mixing
- Sound Editing
Not for soundtrack, I'm surprised
oscars are seriously retarded
i saw the other nominations and they were fucking abysmal

Just like every other movie award.
