Yeah, if you think the reason people complain about over-sexualized female characters is because they hate sex, you're way off base. Most of the feminists I know are horny fuckers. It's that when you make "sexiness" the Most Important Thing in every or almost female character, then they're no longer really characters, they're just sexy lingerie mannequins with guns and swords. For people who don't need sexual gratification shoehorned into every piece of media they consume (read: adults) that's boring and insulting to the audience's intelligence.
Was just looking through some of the League of Legends characters. I mean wow, seriously? These are considered over-sexualized? These designs look absolutely fine to me. Some of them are a little revealing, sure, but for the most part this stuff looks outright "Fox News Channel" conservative compared to some of the other stuff I've seen.
the fact that you do not immediately realize what is wrong with those characters is worrying [editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
I guess it's hard to tell, really. I'm not too familiar with LoL but I'm pretty sure it's not the type of game where character design is that important.
character design is really important in LoL.
These designs look absolutely fine to me.
u haven't been paying attention

If you're incapable of seeing the issue with those character designs then you have a long way to go.
I like how Ryu barely even posts in his own thread.
I like how Ryu barely even posts in his own thread.
I like how he got unbanned and said that he learned his lesson and has made "big strides", but he's back here drawing his dream girl again, and even when we tried to help him, again, he just ignored us and posted his newest redesign anyway. How did it go again Ryu?
I am confused, is Ryu returning to his old ways?
I don't think he ever really changed to be honest.
i don't really mind him not changing you guys post tons of character design stuff to try to help him and since he doesn't change you guys post more and i am just eating it all up [editline]10th December 2012[/editline] and it is great plus it's entertaining to read LOL
creepy
My friend Chris challenged me to come up with 5 new designs for Selene by the end of the week. I've tried to take all the stuff they've been teaching me into consideration while drawing up the new looks. Here's the first design. One of the big problems I've been having is that her silhouette has not been that unique. This design challenges that by adding more shapes that break the form of the body. Plus, I stepped away from the usual sort of black leather dominatrix look that I've become a bit too attached to. I also wanted to make the outfit actually look like something out of a medieval style fantasy setting. The new look also has repeating themes within the clothing that unifies the various elements that comprise it. EDIT: Now with scanned version
I decided to take this idea and make it not so hyper-sexualized I don't know about you, but I feel like this one has a lot more potential to be an interesting character. And notice that you don't need to pull all her clothes off to keep her sexy looking. I even put some leather armor on under her jacket to make it at least seem like she could hold her own in a fight.
As much as i like what you did with it, The overlying and depressing fact remains that there is a huge market for scantly clad ladies passing for 'warriors' in these painfully generic fantasy settings.
It's a shrinking market lately, as game publishers are finally starting to realize that alienating 50% of the human population from your games isn't a winning business strategy.

I like what you did with that, and would find myself interested in learning more about that character! I'm not just saying this out of spite toward's Ryu's awful character designs, either. If that character walked on screen during a show I was watching, I would not immediately groan and rub my forehead.
Ryu's 25 right?
