So some guy bought some electrical appliance. And I think it broke before he even got to use it. He didn't get any refund and the company is quite famous for their trickery. So he decided to march in and "take action". Hell, they guy might be too much aggressive but the company does deserve a bloody lawsuit. But as usual, big companies in Malaysia are always above the law.
speaking of weather, it's pretty dry and hot here [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] motorbikes all over the fucking traffic, makes me want to run them over
why'd he buy something with no warranty?
Less than one month before I move into the NTU campus, pretty excited. Anyone study there? Was wondering what's the first thing one should do in Singapore, any recommendations? Edit: I was also interested in practising my Mandarin which I've been learning for a year and will continue there alongside my degree. Would Singaporean sinophones be reluctant to speak Mandarin with English speaking foreigners? My accent is pretty terrible.
Where you from
I'm from the UK (but I spent about half my life in France). I'm enrolled in a British University and will spend the next academic year on an exchange at the NTU. Edit: My mother is Japanese so I'm a bit more familliar with East Asia than most Europeans though. People always mistake me for a Chinaman..until I open my mouth. Would I be wrong in guessing that Singapore has more cultural similarities to East Asia than any of the other SEA nations?
I bought a fper around Singapore when he came. Oh! Killuax! Well, the shopping districts get boring after a while. I suggest exploring some of the other parts.
Fucking unifi changed my router to a unstable piece of shit which makes me have high pings whenever I play games. I'm just going to buy an ASUS router or whatever...
Finished my diving course and got my logbook yesterday, I'll get my actual licence in two weeks which is also when I'll be in Taiwan doing more diving, but I don't actually need my licence to go diving if I have my logbook
Hello everyone! I'm an Italian boy and I have been studying japanese by myself for 1 year and half xD I love Asia (china, korea and Japan). How many Asian people are in this thread? :D Sorry for my bad English :/ I'm studying English by myself
I'd say pretty much everyone here, considering how this is the thread for people who live in Asia, and such people tend to be Asian themselves

Took me less than a few months to master the basics. Japanese is a really fun language to learn. Also, In just a few more days I can finally start training for a motorcycle license. And actually go skydiving. YES!
in my week in japan, ive learnt a couple words. I've also met a lot of chinese people working as waiters and cashiers, made ordering a hella easier
yay
Nice, mine was just yesterday
You know, we should either A) Change the title to 'The Asia Thread' B) Make a new thread named 'The Asia Thread' Since there isn't much of a thread for Japanese, north koreans, mongols, china etc.
Actually yes. We should ask a mod to do that. Also just bought a ticket to watch them QPR vs my local team. What are you guys doing? This thread sure have been dead for a while. I'm freaking out at the fact that my PMR trial exams are a week away and I haven't noticed because of the relaxed atmosphere in my school.

Last time, the closer I got to PMR, the more lazy and uncaring I get. Also about a week ago the government decided to allow students to bring electronic gadget to school starting next year. FINALLY.

There was a student from Illonois I believe who transferred here via the School Exchange program and is staying here for a year(Man thats long). Hmmm I should totally apply for that if I stay in the same school after I'm done with PMR exams.
I wanted to move out after PMR, but my parents said my results aren't good enough and made me stay. And I did not regret staying. Even though now I drag my body to school everyday because I personally believe that if I could be doing something fruitful than staying in school from 7am-3pm.
I feel disgusted to have a percentage of Malay genes in me.
So, anyone from Singapore around these parts?
There are a few posters from Singapore. Like shian, I never see Ignhelper anymore but he probably changed to an alt.
Oh my god I forgot how exhausting exams are. After the trial exams were done,I don't even feel like PMR is coming soon.

Its really damn easy if you understand your shit. I am currently going through my second assessment and today we had our English exams. For the essay the question stated "At least 350 words". All of my friends finished early and I only sent in 5 minutes after the time has ended. Turns out my friends only did about 450 words. Mine reached 700.
Just got back from an amazing month-long trip to Borneo, it's an utterly beautiful place, especially Mount Kinabalu.
