woo, July 19th for UK! Also, I bet the names of the pubs have something to do with what happens there (The hole in the wall pub may be where the wall gets smashed in in the trailer).
Yeah Edgar said they do awhile back.
Shit, I'll be in Italy all summer. I hope it will still be in cinemas somewhere in september... I don't want to miss this on the big screen.
I am overdosing from hype right now!
One little thing I noticed from the trailer, in The First Post: Look familiar anyone? Old Familiar, perhaps?
It's probably the joke "Old Familiar" it's familiar because it's exactly the same as the last pub but with minor differences
It's certainly refreshing to see Pegg play unresponsible manchild, and Frost the normal person, as opposed to previous 2 movies. Suffice to say, it's my most anticipated movie of a year.
Calling now that Bill Nighy will somehow be involved with the Kings Head pub as Ed's prophetic speech at the beginning of SOTD (bloody Mary etc) involves Philip being bitten by Ed saying "a bite at the Kings Head"
This is why I love Edgar Wright, all the clever little refferences to his previous works, like the 'Dom, Hi' line in SOTD, personally I'm hoping to see the underage drinkers from Hot Fuzz make an appearance.
excuse me if im not following this right but everyone keeps saying this'll be the last pegg/frost film why?
Is that first still in the OP from 'The First Post?' If not, it should be.
excuse me if im not following this right but everyone keeps saying this'll be the last pegg/frost film why?
it's the last film of the "three flavours cornetto" or the "blood and ice cream" trilogy all three films star frost/pegg and are directed/written by wright (and co-written by pegg).
It was only ever planned to be a trilogy. They'll probably work together again, but it won't be in this series.
Pegg on the movie: http://collider.com/simon-pegg-the-worlds-end-interview/ I think Postal posted Edgar Wright saying the same thing, but it's nice to have some more confirmation.
You put together a great cast. Based on the success of Shaun and Hot Fuzz, was it extremely easy to land everyone? Who was the toughest person to cast? Pegg: Edgar and I decided that everyone who had been in both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz would be back for this film, even if only fleetingly.
Edgar Wright will be attending the London Comic Con in a few days to promote The World's End, which I will be going to. Can't wait to meet the guy!
If you're really lucky, he might do a special screening like he did for Scott Pilgrim. Or, he might be saving that for San Diego.
New poster(s) [T]http://focusfeaturesmedia.com/uploads/image/leadphoto/1360191938-fca4bd5b632cbd30544fe39f4a00a3a1/900.jpg[/T][T]http://i.imgur.com/9nUrGol.jpg[/T]
I'm glad that the female character appears to be important enough to put on the poster.

New trailer! http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/video/worlds-end-full-trailer-135700417.html It's good
that was awesome
that trailer is ten times better than the other one i am so hyped
I wasn't paying much attention to the plot of The World's End, so having the alien reveal in the trailer was kind of disappointing for me. I guess opposed to more narrative focused films that rely on plot twists its not as big of a deal here, but still. I definitely found it funny though, and I doubt it'll ruin my enjoyment of the film when I actually watch it.
It's something that would've been revealed the second one of them got hit anyways, so probably really early on.
screencap of the 12 pubs The First Post The Old Familiar The Famous Cock The Cross Hands The Good Companions The Trusty Servant The Two-Headed Dog The Mermaid The Beehive Free House The King's Head The Hole In The Wall The World's End can't wait to see what goes on

Heh, using bar instead of pubs
http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/25773/edgar-wright-updates-on-the-worlds-end-and-spaced
At the event, he said that the film contains elements of a script he wrote when he was 21 entitled Crawl, which was inspired by his pub crawl attempts when he was 16. The World's End thus plays on the idea of the feelings of invincibility you get when drinking. He also spoke of switching the roles of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost this time around, enabling Pegg to play the wild man after playing the straight man in the previous two films.
It's now showing in New Zealand btw. Opens in UK and Ireland tomorrow. Still no reviews, yet.
