I dunno... when I saw the trailer in the cinema I had a hidden feeling it would be shit, but then again... trailers are dumb so I'm definitely going to see for myself.
It's now showing in New Zealand btw. Opens in UK and Ireland tomorrow. Still no reviews, yet.
What? I thought it came out in July
oops. june and july look the same at 5 am aaaa
http://www.myvue.com/latest-movies/info/film/the-worlds-end-hot-fuzz-shaun-of-the-dead Anyone else going to any of these showings? I'm going to the one in Worcester and I really can't wait!
I would if I could. Curse this Atlantic Ocean!
So how does it feel having to wait over a month after the UK release to see this, americans? Because it feels pretty good to me.

A new trailer came out yesterday btw, but I've seen news sites that reported on it angry about it spoiling a lot of shit. So I guess don't watch this unless you really don't care about spoiler shit: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=105631
So how does it feel having to wait over a month after the UK release to see this, americans? Because it feels pretty good to me.
We get it in October here in Norway. Ridiculous. I'm tempted to spend a weekend in London just for the sake of watching the movie.
Exactly the same as the previous trailer, except with some Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead stuff at the beginning.
oh, I guess it was just people still angry about the [sp]robots[/sp] reveal then.
here's a neat little video on the history of the three flavors cornetto trilogy, plus more info on world's end:
Almost at release (for real this time!!!) and reviews are starting to come in from UK critics: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_worlds_end/
Going to see it on release date on Friday, then going for a pub crawl with the guys. Also I'm looking forward to more montages with things being prepared very quickly
I'm very dissapointed that there's not even a date for when it's released in Ukraine, so I don't even know if I'll get to see it in the cinemas, goddamnit. It's released in Russia on 20-something in October, and Ukraine usually folows them on these dates. So both possibilities don't amuse me, it's literally the only movie I'm looking forward to, and I'm not sure if I'll get to watch it. Unless I'm a total idiot and didn't look in the right place.
OK for real this time, the movie is now out in New Zealand. Opens in UK and Ireland tomorrow. Goooo see it.
alright ill have a triple feature this weekend wait a minute what the fuck august 23 god damn it. by the time i get to see this in theaters the dvd will be leaked online.
Guess I was the first guy on FP to see it? I saw the Cornetto trilogy back to back, best cinema experience of my life It was fucking great guys. A worthy end to one of my favourite trilogy's. definitely my favourite of the three, Gary King is the best character in any of the films, easily. All of the jokes are there, just done in a different way to STOD and Fuzz, so they're unexpected and fresh. Some nice casting surprises too, though not everyone from SOTD/Hot Fuzz is present. I'm certain every main cast member from Spaced is in it though, apart from Twist and Daisy. I got to the end of the film and was disappointed at the lack of [sp] Bill Nighy, until he turns up out of the blue voicing the Network. It was great.[/sp] the Cornetto cameo is the funniest thing ever too. oh, and the pub title jokes are the best. My favourite is The Famous Cock - [sp] Gary and co are straight away kicked out because Gary is barred for life. Gary is constantly going on about how famous he is in Newton Haven, and the Famous Cock is the only pub he is recognised, only because he's barred for being a cock [/sp]
Watching Shaun and Hot Fuzz, then going to see The World's End later today. How's that sound for a slice of fried gold? [editline]19th July 2013[/editline] ElectronicG19, I'm guessing you went to a midnight screening?

With little clips of Wright, Pegg and Frost introducing the films. 7:30 to 1:40am, it was great
Could you list all the cameos you noticed (with spoiler tags), except the big one?
Could you list all the cameos you noticed (with spoiler tags), except the big one?
[sp] Pierce Brosnan, Marsha from Spaced, Brian Heap, Michael Smiley, Reece Shearsmith, Rafe Spall, The Girl In The Garden from Shaun, David Bradley [/sp] Fairly certain that was it the big one is: [sp] Bill Nighy voices the main villain, though you sort of can't tell [/sp]
Just found out today that my work won't be showing this movie. Sad times indeed :suicide:
[sp]The 2 biker zombies in Shaun and the 2 butchers in Hot Fuzz appeared in the bar at the very end of The World's End[/sp]
[sp]I read the big zombie in Shaun's garden and the armless one that walks into his house also has a cameo. And Skinner's assistant in Hot Fuzz.[/sp]
A lot of people on /tv/ seem to dislike this movie but I'm not sure how much I trust their opinion.
Saw it at midnight and again this evening. It's a different kind of beast to the other two films, with a different kind of tone and pace to the others. The fight scenes take a lot of styling inspiration from Scott Pilgrim, not really sure how I feel about that. But it was enjoyable, and I laughed quite a lot throughout (although way too many of the jokes are ruined in the trailers). As good as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz? A bit too different to say really.
Just got back from seeing it, gosh it was bloody great. [sp]I'd put it above the other two if it had a good standoff somewhere, but sadly not[/sp] :( the credit music was incredibly unfitting too lol
SO, why do I have to wait a month to see it?
we have to wait a month to see films that come out in north america quite a lot too
We have to wait 3 months, so there (Norway)!
