So are they even making this movie?
It's been ages since they announced it.
Watched Hot fuzz months ago for the first time because i was bored, it was great and funnier then i expected it to be. Watched SOTD recetly aswell and didn't find it as good.

that is the question. odds are they are, but it's gonna be years before they even start on it
Frost/Pegg are also making a film called "Paul" about an alien they meet while at Comic Con.
I want to see "Paul". The alien is gonna be voiced by Seth Rogen! It comes out, I think, April 2011. Simon Pegg mentioned him and Wright getting together soon to write "World's End"
Oh dear. This thread... this thread is 2 years old I'm afraid.
Took awhile, but here's at least something about it:

From an interview with Simon Pegg
"What about At World’s End, when is that coming? SP: As soon as we can, basically. And whether or not it’s called that, I don’t know. Hopefully after Mission Impossible I’ll have some time, so that we can sit down and get the ball rolling. And maybe turn it over slightly quicker than normal.
This should hopefully not take as long as ‘Shaun‘ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ did. And of course Nick will be involved from the beginning. So it’s just a question of logistics and practicality, and timing. But we’re so ready to do it."
according to Pegg, who told MTV News that we could see the elusive "Blood and Ice Cream" conclusion as soon as 2012.
Edgar has coughed up that ['Scott Pilgrim'] furball and we're now in the process of regurgitating ['Paul'], so Edgar and I are planning to get together in the next few months to start working on the next in the 'Blood and Ice Cream' series," Pegg told us, adding that he hopes his good pal Frost will be "more involved in the creation of that.
"We're hoping — hoping, fingers crossed — maybe next year would be a good time to make it, even release it," he said.
But don't hold him to that time table. Pegg was quick to issue a warning: "We would like that in an ideal world, but it's not a fact, nor should it be disseminated as such." As he wisely points out, "On the Internet, you have a lot to answer for!"
Well, fact or not, you nonetheless put an irresistible but small amount of "Blood and Ice Cream" in our mouths, Mr. Pegg — and we're expecting at least eight additional scoops come 2012.
video of that quote at the MTV link^
Alright so hey, not canceled and they're apparently trying to make it happen real soon. Here's hoping it works out
But that probably won't be for a good while since this movie is probably not gonna be out for like 2 years.
Wait, the final movie of a trilogy consisting of two unrelated films?
Huh?

Read the OP
I probably should have read it before posting but I dismissed it as tl;dr.
It was worth reading.
Holy fucking shitsticks I hope this turns out as funny and incredibly well made as Shaun and Fuzz.
Oh god yes
I can't wait for this movie, hurry up and make it damn it
Does this mean that it will be the final collab between Wright, Pegg and Frost? I would be really upset if that was the case, I love these guys.

It probably won't be. Wright put Pegg and Frost on the map. Their funniest work is when they're collaborating together.

I sure do miss bad reading.
Needs more shortcuts and pubs.

Me too.
God I love both of the movies, they are so full of quotable stuff.

About time.
Hope they don't rush the scripting etc due to fan pressure.

Yay.
I wonder if Nick Frost is still set to be the lead while Simon is the best bud...
i don't mind either one, since they will both be in the movie and they'll be brilliant regardless of the role they are cast in
Ph shit I never knew the Cornetto trilogy was a tribut to the Three Colours that's awesome. Can't wait for the new film.
Where does Paul fit into this trilogy? Or is it completely unrelated?

Greg mottola directed it not Edgar Wright.

its impossible the text behind is taking over the text in front and its a jumbled mess
If you've seen SoTD and Hot Fuzz, you'll know that World's End is going to be bad-ass.
SotD was way better than HF. HF was okay, some parts were pretty awesome (like Timothy Dalton getting impaled).
I prefer Hot Fuzz. The story is better in my opinion, and the jokes-per-minute ratio is higher. The ending twist is awesome and every time i watch it i discover new jokes and stuff that makes it better and better. Shaun of the Dead is awesome too, of course, but not as good.
No Lemon Cornetto :(?
I liked Lemon Cornetto.
