yessssss now get bill nighy and rafe spall.
everyone keeps talking about shawn of the dead and hot fuzz but whatever happened to paul?
Paul is its own thing, it has nothing to do with these movies.
what about Bill Nighy... it can't be complete without at least an appearance by him. seriously. also shaun>hot fuzz. especially if you were around for the premiere of both. shaun's was better because you had absolutely no idea what to expect unless you were british. and even then spaced was kind of underground.
I get the chills every time I think about this movie. Seriously, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are my favorite movies ever. EVER. They are filled the brim with genius. I can't wait to see this, but also I am excited by the fact that this movie is going to be a bit darker in tone, that prospect really excites me.

So much for spring 2013, release date will be October 25th, 2013
Damn it.
It'd be cool if they had Dylan Moran in this one. I liked seeing him in Shaun of the Dead even if he was a dick.
Finally beat Carne to posting news for once: https://twitter.com/simonpegg/status/282184147995332609 PRODUCTION IS OVER AND HERE'S THE FIRST STILL, showing the five main characters: [t]http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/5118/hrtheworldsend2jpglarge.jpg[/t] haaaah releasing the first still to "THE WORLDS END" on the date the world is supposed to end.
Martin Freeman looks dapper as shit in that still. Remarkable how different all of those characters look. Can't wait!
Ooh, and that's one of the Andys in the back. The not Rafe Spall one.
I forgot all about this. It is looking lovely.

This is looking good. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] Also, judging the character's description, I'd say Simon is Gary. My money is on Paddy Considine on being Andy.
I'm going to love this movie, anything by Edgar Wright is hilarious. I recently marathoned Spaced after I was told it was like Shaun of the Dead in TV format, and I fell in love after watching the first episode right away.
GOOD NEWS: Release date has changed. We've gone from October 25 to August 23 now. Hopefully the trailer isn't too far off now. [editline]20th March 2013[/editline] Also Rafe Spall recently confirmed he's back yet again for a small part. He's now been in all three films. Wonder if maybe they got Bill Nighy for a cameo as well.
I'd wager on Bill Nighy playing Gary's dad, as in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz he played father figures of Simon Peggs characters
I'd wager on Bill Nighy playing Gary's dad, as in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz he played father figures of Simon Peggs characters
Shaun of the Dead sure but no such thing in Hot Fuzz. [editline]22nd March 2013[/editline]
Ooh, and that's one of the Andys in the back. The not Rafe Spall one.
Just as I thought to myself where the hell I had seen him before.
Shaun of the Dead sure but no such thing in Hot Fuzz.
Didn't he play the chief inspector in London? Seeing how Nicolas made his life the police, you can sort of consider him his dad..
Didn't he play the chief inspector in London? We don't have to see him being a father figure to identify him as such.
looking forward to the jumping over the fence scene in this movie

Simon Pegg can look like a badass when he wants to apparently.
I feel like they're gonna do that scene set to Little Green Bag, or a similar song.
Oh god that picture made my day.
