Just noticed Youtube unsubbed me from Dunkey. wtf.
Happened to me, as well as with h3h3 I just realised.
Hey fyi that unsub thing is actually a bug and not a "feature":

then fix it
i mean i know youtube is a low employee indie company with small amount of money but they can try right
I'm not saying you shouldn't be upset at them for having a bug, by all means. But be upset at them for the right reasons.
Pretty sure most of these guys Dunkey mentioned have better things to do than star in a hippity hoppity video with a bunch of 13-20 year olds.
yea like h3h3 who starred in a aprils fools joke from youtube involving snoopdogg
if i was a popular youtuber and had a chance to star in youtube propaganda i would take it

The yt rewind feels like I am watching dancing teletubbies with an all-the-same-sounding cancer pop music.
Holy shit I'm so glad RedLetterMedia is on there, they're really not as popular as you'd think.
This made me really happy.
Seeing Jerma, critikal and Vinny in this was kinda heartwarming
seeing LGR in there was really surprising
Does he have any evidence for that
Like at all
Actually I watched his video and his insinuates that Youtube asked him to make the video, not the campaign or a pac. Which is ridiculous if true.
[editline]13th December 2016[/editline]
But it's all of 5 seconds and he moves on.
[editline]13th December 2016[/editline]
Oh or YouTube doesn't make the rewind. The company that does wanted DeFranco to make a Clinton video.

What's the source video for the old man getting shot? It feels like JonTron but I'm not sure

All these YouTubers who appeared in that video should all come together, throw some of their YT money into a piggy bank and create a video site together where they would upload their content a week earlier then YouTube. Perhaps ask a small fee from fans for some (chat and early video access) exclusivity and so on.
Sortof kinda like http://hiddenblock.com/

With enough people that could probably work. They're popular enough to carry over a lot of people.

I dunno if you have any idea of the scale of youtube but you'd need quite a bit more capital than 'fan donations' to get something like that off the ground.
For all the BS youtube does, they are hosting a fucking ludicrous amount of content and serving it to a gigantic audience, with very few delays or buffering issues.

The youtube firearms community pulled it off with full30.com, I'm not sure why others couldn't do the same.

I'm sure even you could understand why it would be harder to create a Youtube competitor/replacement rather then a fire-arm news website.
fire-arm news website.
Uh did you even go to the site? Its a fire arm video sharing website. Pretty cool actually, decent enough UI and seems to be a shit ton of videos.

Whatever, I mostly saw people showcasing/reporting on new guns/mods. Still not as hard as creating a Youtube replacement.
It's one thing to make a niche website where videos are the focus, it's an entirely different thing to make a broad appeal video sharing website.

While this is true, I do think that there are enough Youtube celebrities with large enough fanbases to be able to create a popular platform if they had the proper incentives in place. (Early videos, exclusive videos, better comment section, etc).

Jerma is one of the best channels on youtube

Here he is playing 700,000 games

It's been a bug since 2015 so that's really no excuse.

So I think there's a difference between the most popular YouTubers and the most popular YouTubers, like there are the people who are massive personalities and have massive communities, and there are these people who get the most views and that's it. That's why you could easily describe some of the biggest YouTubers as Philip Defranco and H3H3 but the moment somebody mentions somebody who actually gets the most views and has the most subs we're all like "who?".
Also the level of non content with it just being people looking weird and dancing to pop songs is weird, and if it's "YouTube Rewind" then why are a bunch of Hollywood celebs and Trevor Noah there?

Well i'm not talking about a YouTube clone, i'm more or less just talking about a video sharing network where a group of ex-youtubers throw their videos on (hosted on the site), i mean if a lot of diverse and popular youtubers get on it then i am sure it could take off quite a bit, a future plan would have been that you could open it up to other uploaders.
I mean you obviously can't just copy YouTube out of the blue, it needs to start somewhere.

This was how YouTube started, a site that was thrown together in one - two weeks time because the creator, Steve Chen, thought it was pretty hard to put his dinner video online and so he made YouTube with the intention to share family videos which of course grew more and more along with the amount of money they made.

Relevancy?
Kinda feel like if he was gonna show something Game Grumps-related it shouldn't have been an animation, and if he had to show the animation he could have at least credited the actual animator alongside Game Grumps. :s:
I haven't watched it yet, but I don't recognize a single person in that thumb nail.
MKBHD is the only decent YouTuber out of everyone and all he does is review tech products

My comments on the YouTube Rewind video?
