Amp Timeline:
Started out with a Fender Frontline, was fine until I started listening to Metal. Then I got a Microcube, which I still have to this day. For Christmas last year my pap got me a Peavey Bandit 112, which was a great amp but it started fucking up like crazy the few times I played live. I have no idea how to fix it because it's so on/off with it's fuckability. I have brought it to shops and they tell me nothing's wrong with it, and the next day it fucks up. It's like that parrot in Paulie.

Roland Microcube []
Peavey Bandit 112 [x]
I have a 100watt Fender Frontman. It gets the job done, and isn't bad for the price.
150W Line 6 Spider III. Great amp.
Before I had a Roland cube-30 haha.

Orange Crush 10
Gets the thing done, clean is killer, light crunch sounds great too, gets a nice fuzzy heavy distorsion when cranked up.
but...it's 10W am i right?
but...it's 10W am i right?
Enough for my bedroom rocking
D:
Better to have a low wattage amp anyhow for practicing and recording. More relvent if you have a tube amp - Get power tube breakup at low volume =)
Gonna build a 1-5 Watt Tube amp and an isolation cabient with a nice celestion in it :)
Ok, the clean is indeed a bit quiet, but once I make it "crunchy" it can get very loud. I'm afraid of cranking the distorsion AND volume up at the same time, seriously
And it's a solid state

Also loud:

Also "These go to eleven".
What the shit is that green/red guitar with an upside-down body?

Do you guys have any experience with the following bedroom amps? I want to get a nice, good sounding, but cheap one.
Vox Valvetronix 15 (The new model)
I read that it has good crunch, and cleans, but not so good on the high-gain side of things
Peavey Vypyr 30
It's really versatile, but reviews say, it's a little unreliable.
Roland Cube 30X
The only one out of the three I tried out, I liked it but could use some more amp models.
Oh and please don't suggest a line 6 spider, they sound like crap, they're way too "digital" sounding (No offence to Line 6 though, they make nice tube amps).
reversocaster :D
I'm a sucker for the roland gear, But only because over the years they've proved themselves reliablility wise through various brand names.. .Boss... Edirol...
Sick of the shit against Line6 Amps. =(
Line 6 has a REAL horrible history, but the Spider 3 is actually good, just never play a bass on it...

Bass... and a guitar amp?
Doesn't that usually lead to a tragedy?

Yeh... thats why it was dumb of me. Feel free to rate me box. Luckily I got away with it just barely on my Line6.
You can do it, So long you don't drive the cabinet too hard and overexert your speakers.
Plug a guitar head into a bass cab is fine at any volume, the drivers have more Xmax/Xmech.
There are quite a few famous bass players who use a crossover and send the highs to a guitar amp to get some added grit, but that's the highs only!

I just plugged my bass straight into the amp, made sure the master volume was on 0 first, turned it up to about 1 and played :v: . Barely did any noticeable damage

This sounds pretty badass

After seeing your avatar I am not surprised at all.

I have the VOX. I like it, sounds really good for what it is.
I have a Vox AD30VT, and for the price, it's fantastic, but if I had more cash I would instantly buy a new tube amp instead.
I've been looking into some more brutal sounding amps, I heard mayhem actually BREAKS their amps and they get that brutal sound from there.

Why the hell would I want to carry more shit after I have to carry 5+ heavy bags/cases with snares/toms/bass drum, a cymbal bag/case, all the hardware/stands, AND set it all up, usually all without help.

Because a full hardware box and cymbals is a two man carry, I help - they should return the favour.
Also, This was LOUD: Ah the joys of FX Loops.

Sucks for you, most if not all bands in iceland help eachother out.
