Few more knobs, more wattage, separate EQ, but really... The Micro is AWESOME.
They are basically, versatile practice amps, so when you know which type of music you want to play, you will get a kick ass amp.
Haha.

Yeah I'm looking for an upgrade, looking at Randalls, Marshalls, or Kranks not that I tried any of those yet... Or you could give me some recomendations I like stuff like Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, Dethklok.
Try building your own, mind you that's my business idea, and they will be called, electric spaghetti amps.
Best watch out for em cause they are gonna be sweeeeettttttt.
I've got a Fender Frontman 15G. Nothing special, but it was affordable and it meets my needs.

Yesterday I saw a Sunn Beta Lead in a pawn shop that was in almost perfect condition.
Not my picture but it looked exactly like this:

It was going for $250. Anyone know if that's a good price?

I got a a Cube30X, and then later I bought a Pod2.0.
It kicks ass, because it emulates tons of amps, and has tons of effects, with GREAT quality, and you can record on the PC ;)
Well, I dunno about amps, because I dont see myself playing live in a short time period ;)
But basically, I would get a ValveKing Head+Crate, something like that
Just bought a Line 6 spider III 15 watt today and love it
If the head has a FX Send and return you can plug a powered speaker system (Such computer speakers) into the Send and use the head as a preamp.
I do this alot, Using my bass amp as a DI box.
Neglected to say, DO NOT do this with a tube/valve amp, you WILL fry it if you don't have a cabinet connected.
So if i'm looking for an amp between £200-£350, a valve amp, to play some metallica or equal old school metal, yet be able to make it nice and sharp for some modern shredding, and also still able to get some nice clean tones. What can I get?

Peavey Valveking 112, with a speaker swap, and if you need more gain, then a nice dist pedal.
or
Blackstar HT-5 either head+cab(don't go for the blackstar cab, you can get one of the same quality for a cheaper price) or combo, just a matter of preference.
Funny, I was just reading about the Peavey 112.
Also I love blackstars, might check them out, thanks.
[editline]12:56AM[/editline]
Okay two questions, is it really just preference over a head+cab or combo, so neither option has any benefits over the other? Also Altefnegy you say I could get a cab that is the same quality as the blackstar for a cheaper price, care to elaborate?
dunno which amp to get, its either a:
Crate FW120 half stack

or a
Peavey Vypyr 30

Crate looks pretty darn huge, id go for peavey
Definitely the Peavey, there's no point going for a high wattage solid-state head+cab, especially not an entry level one.
Unless you're gigging and you can't afford a tube amp.

and to the user above that wanted an amp for gigging:
Get the Spider Valve 212, costs the same as that Solid State Crate, and kicks its ass
im gigging and i cant afford a tube amp
Sorry for being late, topic got buried and I thought no one replied.
Well, then I guess you should go for the crate, if you like the tone of it(Your opinion is the most important about tone)
Only stay away from the Marshall MG halfstack, it's way too overpriced.
Heh all of your amps beat mine. I have a 200w Crate amp.
Heh all of your amps beat mine. I have a 200w Crate amp.
I don't even have an amp
I just spent many hours of reading into them because I'm interested in how they work, and also I was looking for a decent budget amp for myself.
Hopefully I'll be enjoying my electric guitar and amp sometime next week.
