I was in anime club in school last year. However, it was run by two of my good friends so it was pretty well controlled. Well, for what it is anyway... Haha. We could at least talk about things without "Kawaii moe naruto inuyasha desu desu desu". That stuff pisses me off so much. But yeah, I like them as shows, that's it. It really annoys me when people put it further than that. With what you do Ryu, you'd probably fit in, being that that club in specifics has to be filled with weeaboos. But generally, role playing is frowned upon around here and in the club I attended... It's quite a waste of time, I think. Oh and TH89 is right. Japan in general is pretty awful.

Although be prepared to meet the types of people you never thought existed in real life. I'd assume even a role-playing club is populated by more socially sufficient people than an anime club.
