We learn about Japanese culture and stuff, much more interesting then the French club IMO.

Also, I never even got into the whole western animation superheroes thing so I sure as shit don't want anything to do with something which is basically that except with an infinitely worse fanbase. I'd be astounded if someone could point out to me an anime which doesn't involve fucking massive swords, fucking massive robots, sexually ambiguous and extremely angsty teens, pre-teen girls with grating voices, or any of the other stuff you'll see in virtually every single anime series ever made. Fuck that noise. I'm cool with people disagreeing on that point, but anyone who gets so obsessed with what is basically a cartoon that they centre their entire life around it and then try their absolute hardest to fucking digi-volve into a Japanese person absolutely fucking drives me mental. Fuck crazes, seriously.
Actual Japanese history and art (you know what I mean) and shit is interesting, though.

My school's anime club has about 20 members, only 2-3 of which are actually weeaboo's. So no cosplay, more Halo/COD4/GTA4 than anime, and even then, not retarded ass DBZ shit. The last actual anime I recall someone even watching was in the back on a TV with headphones. We had to watch Cowboy Bebop once, but I actually like that...
I just refer to Anime Club as "Geek Club" because that's who's in it...
