I have now arrived back at my university, so I have been reunited with Stephen Mallard (the Third). It has been far too long; and I find, that during my winter break, his home, a local pond called "Mirror Lake" on campus has practically frozen over. There are two sections of the lake that have not frozen over; the ducks have been swimming in the water (how they have avoided hypothermia, I do not know) and slipping across the ice. Worst yet; a horde of geese has come in and stolen one half of the lake and has been attacking any ducks that approach them. To my horror, I saw a scuffle emerge between the two warring groups. I immediately ran out on to the lake to break it up, to find that Stephen Mallard has been leading a resistance group to the evil Goose invaders. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6JtMM.jpg[/img_thumb] I quickly jumped to action, hitting the goose over the head yelling "GOOSE!" The goose then proceeded to chase me throughout the battlefield squawking rather loudly, and nibbling at my calves. Eventually I lost him, and worked my way back to Stephen Mallard, to find him lying in the snow...bleeding profusely. A terrible feeling of woe overwhelmed me; I could not help but cry at what I beheld. Stephen was dead. Or so I thought. I heard a sudden, shallow breath. In his Christ-like pose, bleeding out several wounds in his chest, Stephen was brought back to life; he rose from the dead. I put my hands over the wounds in an attempt to stop the blood. As I was over his body, I heard him whisper into my ear... "I'm so glad you've come." I rushed him from the war torn lake, and brought him to the local infirmary. He is making a speedy recovery. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/VtcSv.jpg[/img_thumb] We spoke of what happened during my break, and he seemed to enjoy hearing of something that helped him to forget his troubles on Mirror Lake. His war torn face...it slowly turned...warm. A face I remembered. The face I loved. I told him how I purchased my mother a fancy new "Kindle" so I didn't have much money left to get him anything for christmas, but I brought him his favorite book, from my personal library. Upon seeing it, his face lit up. I let him flip through the pages a bit, and soon enough he was asleep. I left him, let him rest. I bet by the next time I see him, he'll have read through it several times. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/je5eS.png[/img_thumb]
Nice bump, however this is an incredibly amazing thread.
I see no problem with bumping threads with content, especially if more people start to contribute to the duck dreams
[img_thumb]http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/8724/duckvader.jpg[/img_thumb] duck vader
NO, THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo [editline]28th January 2011[/editline] *quack*

The DUCK king. Meh I am not good with ps.
thought this may be an appropriate time to exhibit my poem on the said subject: I have a duck pond in my yard, i checked the size, it wasn't hard, i measured it from side to side, it's three feet long and two feet wide. my ducky with her son and daughter, like to swim upon the water, they eat bugs and fishes too, and fight off herons with kung foo, they learnt kung foo from Jackie Chan, by visiting him in Japan, (i know that he does not live there, but heck, it rhymes so i don't care) they flew over with BA, "what is the purpose of your stay?" the steward asked, and they replied, "our purpose is to run and hide, and to evade and to abscond, the herons want to steal our pond!", the steward thought and interjected; "won't your pond be unprotected?", my duck almost gave him a slap, "of course not, we haz booby trap!" "well that's ok" the man replied, "but before you run, before you hide, i have a question if you'll comply, you have wings, why not just fly?", "hey" said duck, "a great idea!, i will fly there, have no fear!, come on son, and daughter too.", she spread her wings, and then, she flew. When she got back, my duck could fight, and battle herons day and night, "hoorah hooray, hooray hoorah, my pond is safe, no worries so far!", but not for long, one fateful day, the big boss heron came that way, his name was Bob and he was bigger, and he was driving in a digger, "my digger has amazing traction, give up the pond, or we'll take action!" "hey Bob shut up" my ducky said, and kung fooed bobby in the head, "but i have guns, and they're all loaded" said Bob, but then his digger exploded! then up ran Jim, my ducky's son, "Mum!" he shouted, "Mummy, mum!", "i'm alright son, i'll be ok soon, but why did the digger just go boom?" "Well me and sis' formed a coalition, i used my phd in demolitions, to make dynamite." said little jim, "found a vent and threw it in.", "how clever", said duck, "but look at this crater, we must do something with it later." i have a new pond in my yard, i checked the size, it wasn't hard, i measured it from side to side, it's twelve feet long and ten feet wide, my ducks are glad, they have a ball, a happy ending after all sorry about the huge page stretch but you must have proper paragraphing!
I had 2 ducks, a brown one and a yellow one. They grew up and swam in my pond. But then an unknown wild animal decapitated them and left their bloody remains in our driveway. :smith:

Yeah well my dog is an old beagle and knows better than to eat our foul. We currently have 11 full grown turkeys and 19 chickens.
