This is stupid, I dislike how people need to appeal to the lowest common denominator to get a vote for Obama. It was better than Chuck Norris's attempt of his using his "e-fame" to garner Romney votes, but it wasn't much better.
Is that why healthcare costs more now?
Health care has been expensive since Bush term 1. A lot of things have fucked up since Bush term 1. Just because you only see it now that Obama is president does't mean he did it.

Shift blame to the guy before you, how completely original.

I know I'm going to get flooded with boxes for saying this, but this really isn't helping the poor almost solely because of the individual mandate. As in, poor people not already covered by an employer's insurance must pay for it themselves, regardless if they can actually afford it or not. Otherwise, they will incur a penalty. The way they set it up, without any sort of assistance for poor people to buy healthcare, it just can't do anymore but hurt the poor.
Although I could be wrong about there being no assistance for people who can't afford insurance, but I can't see anything about it.

Yeah, well I just see a "political" ad like this being especially pitiful.

Yes this did a whole lot to stop the oppression of the poor, you know, because doing nothing to address poverty really helps the poor.

Every one of them is to blame, Obama being no exception.

I don't think this is meant to be a serious ad, seeing as it probably won't be on TV as an advertisement, and it isn't funded by obama/not supported.
But it gets the point across.

Go to the "overview" section, fourth bullet point:
Low income individuals and families above 100% and up to 400% of the federal poverty level will receive federal subsidies[21] on a sliding scale if they choose to purchase insurance via an exchange (those at 150% of the poverty level would be subsidized such that their premium cost would be 2% of income, or $50 per month for a family of four).[22]
Did you even read it? No, silly question because if you had you'd see the bill contributes 82 billion dollars in aid to low income workers, retirees, and the unemployed.
As for your second bit, I can speak for most when I say Obama is no saint. But you're fucking nuts if you're even considering voting for Romney over him.
kinda tasteless but ehh it was well done
Go to the "overview" section, fourth bullet point:
So basically they increased the poor's tax rate by two percent.
That's a great fucking way to help them out.

Aid doesn't address poverty. It makes sure that the poor have sustinence and can continue to be exploited.

An attack on Obama should never be taken as an endorsement of Romney. I hate both.
And before anyone says "Well, Obama is better", being stabbed is preferable to being shot as well. It doesn't mean I'm fucking jumping for joy if someone comes to stab me. Neither are sane choices.

Ahh I see where you are. I agree completely. Unfortunately capitalism dictates there must be a lower class.

Not a fan of either but I'm also a realist, and I know voting for anyone other than Romney or Obama is wasting your vote, and letting Romney in the office would be a complete catastrophe, so the choice is pretty clear for me, even if I don't like it.
So yeah, I'd rather get stabbed in the gut than shot in the head. It's shitty but that's how politics work.

Maybe I'm just a romantic or idealist, but I believe that if we stop participating in the political and economic system on a big enough scale that it will be forced to change.
Pmuch my family, but voting for romney. Every time i explain his platform they go "you dont pay taxes so you have no word on the subject, Romney 2012".
Tell them Mitt Romney didn't either :v:

It may, but the problem is such a thing will never be done on a scale large enough to make a difference. Why? because people are uninformed. People vote based on their personal conceptions about the candidate, propaganda and what the candidates themselves say (read: barely anything actually important).
Like it's said in the video, people need to wake the fuck up and start actually giving a shit about who their votes go to and who the candidates really are, looking past all the propaganda and PR bullshit instead of swallowing all that crap.
The media won't change, it's up to people to educate themselves so they can make an informed decision, if more people were properly informed, more people wouldn't stand for this bullshit.

If you fall into the lower class area, you get free healthcare. And the mandate for insurance is thanks to the republicans that added it in to make the bill appear horrible.

My family is at 81% for the federal poverty level and we have to rely on private charity for our healthcare needs.
Where the fuck do you sign up for the government to give you free healthcare?
While not officially endorsed by them, this is still awesome.
