Here's my phonecall from today: "hey dude, you installed a radio in my Saab 900 a few months ago, remember?" ok.. I remember. What's up? "Well, I jump started it a couple days ago and the radio wouldn't turn on." go on.. "My friend looked at it, and it took him like 2 hours (omg, really) to figure it out, but you had the ground and the ignition wire mixed up" ... go on.. "So he fixed those and now it's good." So it worked for 4 months with the ground and ignition wire mixed up, you're telling me? "yea, I dunno either man! Seems weird!" Bring it in, I need to see this first freaking hand. So, folks, there you have it. I wired a radio with "the ground and ignition wired swapped" and it worked for 4 months. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Expecting epic fail when I pull it out. Edumacated guess: Saab uses a tradition European DIN connector for it's harness (aka VW plug), and the constant + and ignition switched + are generally in the same spots be it a Mercedes, VW, Saab, etc... However, in many cases if it's not a VW car they're flipped. In the pigtail you can buy you plug it in and surprise the yellow is switched, and the red is constant. That's what Saabs are.. and this joker kid probably wired them back to color coded and soon he will realize the Saab won't hold any present stations. Wee
