so this gets rid of something we cant get rid of and makes something we are running out of?
fuck yes
What happens when we run out of plastic to change into oil?
we wont?
it only took how many years to figure this out?
humans are pathetic
Will it blend?
Is it a good idea to microwave it?
There has to be some stuff left after the useful oil is created. Ink, dirt and other chemicals need to go somewhere.

i'm sure they found a way to handle waste products
Just so you guys aren't confused on how it works or whether it's real, it is.
Plastic is actually made from oil. This is basically making plastic backwards.
I was about to say it seems people think oil is naturally found in plastic or something. Another interesting ingredient in plastics are animal byproduct. So its interesting the vegans critical of other for wearing leather or eating meat depend on product made animal byproduct plastic like plumping, computer parts and etc.
He should make it so that it automatically burns some of the oil it produces to help keep itself running.
Wouldn't it be smarter to just have it run on electricity? It'd just waste the oil.

You talk about humans like you aren't one or that some stupid woodland creature built it years ago
and anyway I don't see you inventing shit
things like this have been around for a while, and they create a tonne of emissions
though it looks like this one contains them somehow
Mr. Fusion!
But Mr. Fusion only powered the flux capacitor and time circuits, the DeLorean still ran on regular old gasoline. :eng101:
Something like this could be done simply over a camp fire. Don't believe me? Make a camp fire, and make a funneled pot running with a pvc pipe, running into a glass/plastic container(has to be at least five to six feet away to prevent over heating) then use the concept he discussed in the diagram, and you'll be able to make gasoline. Not sure how safe it is to use on cars, but it's incredibly easy to make this concept... I'm almost dumbfounded no one thought of this sooner.
You have to watch out that you don't burn the plastic, you can't really control the temperature of a camp fire...
So then, melt plastic with heat (Not fire!) in a sealed container, run a pipe from top to a tank of cool water and then because the oil is less dense that water, it rises to the top, hmm, would i be able to make this with objects from around the house ?
Will it blend?
This needs a "Will it turn into oil" viral marketing campaign.
I don't understand how he believes we will reduce our CO2 emissions by converting plastic back to oil; the outcome will be us just having more oil, thusly people will be able to drive their cars longer.
We won't have to introduce more CO2 to the biosphere by pumping it out of the ground so much. Long term it's a huge boon.
Better ban this guys, terrorists could use it fuel their war machine :downs:
But in all seriousness though, I'm going to try to make a makeshift one over the weekend.
EDIT
What if you put turds in there?

You'll probably get heated turds.
