By jamming I thought you said playing to albums, never the less I've been jamming/playing to:

Na, just "Grooving" or "Chilling".
Also RYM doesn't let you tag their images.
My favourite album of ever:

It's just so perfect, I still love to listen to it after first hearing it 2 years ago, hope "Angles" is as good.

Pretty good, has a nice sound.

Started listening to them about 3 years ago, they totally deserved that grammy.

Miike Snow - Pretty much the album I chill to.
for me it's sorta a hectic errand running album good for listening to in the car. Everything is just quick and immediately grabbing, it's great for just listening to one song at a time in-between the parking lots of various stores

Sans Soleil, Sylvia, Cult Logic and Burial are the songs I tend to chill to.
i simply cannot forget

there simply aren't many electronica groups that really have fun with sound the way matmos does
spondee is a fun quirky number where they take a computerized voice describing sounds and just run with it and turn it into fantastic bop
but then they can turn around and create something really beautiful like for felix, which is completely performed on a cage with a violin bow

For those who play guitar and such (bass for me), jamming can mean just messing around while playing songs, random solos, playing at a slower pace probably, etc. Messing around in general while playing.
I know. But I mean it in the Bob Marley context :smug:
Right now I been listen to these
River - River

Folk/Neofolk project made by a few members of Black Metal bands from around the Cascade Mountains. Natural and rather beautiful music.
Ash Borer - 2009 Demo

They combine Black Metal with Post-Rock. Some nice melodies and all that, but still slightly unpolished.
A Silver Mt. Zion - Pretty Little Lightning Paw

Post-Rock. It has a rougher production then there other albums, but it's pretty good still.

faker's my personal favorite but every track on the album is good with the exception of that really silly remix of "animal" on the deluxe edition
I didn't know "Jamming" was a music-related verb other than to infer Playing.
Latest thing I've been jamming is Fade To Black.
Latest albums I've been listening to are Solar Gambling, Deloused in the Comatorium and Xenophanes.
Reason is discussed in the OP
Idk if you can call it jamming, but i've been enjoying the hell out of the composition Shaker Loops by John Adams. Such good minimalism.
Recently?
And So I Watch You From Afar. Both their self titled and EP "Letters". Shown respectively.

Great fucking albums. Instrumental awesome. Really upbeat and crazy. Makes me feel good.
Also, Call Me Lightning. I got all their albums and shuffle through them often.

Never would have heard of these guys if I didn't see them live. Vocal can be a little rough on the first album but it is much better as it goes along. If you listen to the albums chronologically you can definitely hear improvement throughout.
As far as actual jamming, playing the music to, I've been breaking in my new five string bass with Omega Massif.

Heavy, heavy, slow, heavy bass pounding instrumental stuff. I love it.
You can get that album for free here: http://omegamassif.bandcamp.com/

I seem to have an unhealthy obsession with this album. :ohdear:

It's an incredibly depressing album, but it's brilliant. The closing track 'Fawn' is hauntingly beautiful.

I'm starting to listen to that a lot too. It's a great album, really more from his heart as compared to most of his other work.

It's definitely a very compelling and soulful listen. It really seems to build on a lot of his more sombre works with huge success.
I'd like to know more about the play it was written for, however. All I know is that it was about the ~forbidden love~ between C.S. Lewis and his lover, Alice (i.e. Alice in Wonderland).

So punk, ska, dubstep and some classic rock. Close-minded people miss out on too much, I love being diverse in taste.

Blur - Fool's Day (It's a single, but it's still been popping up more and more when I listen to music.)
United Nations' self titled debut album

Big Star - Number One Record
It is really great sounding, and I find myself hearing it often. More people need to hear about this band. Definitely a highlight album of the 70s, however I think it sounds a lot newer than it is.. maybe 80s. Truly bright sounding for it's age.
Howes - Slunk Out

Check out Radio City and 3rd/Sister Lovers. I like Radio City more than #1 Records. 3rd/Sister Lovers is more of an Alex Chilton solo project and sounds nothing like their other two albums. It's mostly acoustic and it's a lot more depressing and less catchy than the other stuff, but still a great album.
