Most of the new comers head down to the 'secret' floor. The head scientist explains that the beam uses these rare crystals. There are 3 types of crystals. A red one, a green one, and a blue one. The red one, used in the beam, will act as a heavy beam of destruction. The green one will act as a teleportation like thing. It can teleport one thing or person to another area anywhere on the map. The last one is the blue one, the only crystal they had was on a ship. They haven't received information on its whereabouts but it's the only crystal they have to experiment on at the moment. Also one of the base members hits a button on a control panel on the ceiling which caused vibrations which caused a cave-in.
Later the head scientist explains that this is all possible with the hundreds of satellites in space which can pass on the beam to it's destination.
After all that stuff the head scientist then explains that the only reason the civilians are here are to head to Diploland where they will retrieve the crystal once it arrives, along with the others.
