Abre Los Ojos(the movie Vanilla Sky was a remake of) Amores Perros(sort of Pulp Fiction in Spanish) Sin Nombre(sort of a violent adventure) Y Tu Mama Tambien(teen sex comedy) Martyrs(French horror, kind of extreme) À l'intérieur(Inside)French horror, kind of extreme but with humor
Stalker
Watch Japanese exploitation flicks The Machine Girl, Robogesiha and Tokyo Gore Police. You can't have a foreign film thread without mentioning these ridiculously cheesy and entertaining films. [editline]04:35AM[/editline]
Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno) The Devils Backbone, same guy that made pan's labyrinth, as well as hellboy and upcoming hobbit movies.
Benico Del Toro. He was the star of the new Wolfman movie, I think.
Das Boot [editline]07:27AM[/editline] Frontiers
Wolfgang Petersen. I know this because I saw Enemy Mine, which he directed. Enemy Mine is one of those few films where Dennis Quaid is awesome, as opposed to being somewhat bland.

The Nest.
Terkel i Knibe (Terkel in Trouble) It's a 3D animated movie but it's worth the watch if you want a good laugh.
If you liked Old Boy, I recommend 'Ichi the Killer'. Also: The Host The Eye (not the American one)
Benico Del Toro. He was the star of the new Wolfman movie, I think.
Guillermo del Toro and Benicio del Toro are two completely different people.
Absurdistan was a wonderful movie. It's in Russian, watch it.
I never really liked Battle Royale II
I'm a big Battle Royale buff. I've read the book several times, read some of the manga, bought the 2-disc DVD set, even programmed some basic BR games on my graphing calculator. I enjoyed BRII simply because of my fascination with the entire concept. Sure, it was nowhere near as good as the first movie, but it was still reasonably entertaining. I'm not a fan of foreign films but battle royale was great,
Irreversible is an awesome film if you're into that kind of surreal thriller type genre. It's quite an unnerving film to say the least. Thomas from Daft Punk does the soundtrack as well, which is great.

Pan's Labyrinth, has been said already but what ever. Also the unknown soldier, it comes with additional fun, hunt for subtitles.
This is my favorite foreign film, it's a romantic comedy during WWII and while the two fall in love and have there son, the Nazi's take them to a concentration camp. That's all i can give away though.
Let The Right One In
This, also known as Låt den rätte komma in. There's also Noroi, Little Otik, A Tale of Two Sisters, Re-cycle (Gwai wik), and if you wish you could check out Suicide Club, or for a good laugh watch Tokyo Gore Police.
