Um, no. The character as she looked since the 90s was instantly recognisable. I grew up playing Tomb Raider with my Granny.
I find it odd that they'd want to completely change how she looks, even if she was a bit of a massive example of what this thread is about.

It's interesting that the progressive movement has become so successfully marginalized by conservatives that even people who express something totally reasonable like "there should be more female characters in games" or "I'm a vegetarian" often hasten to add that it's "not about feminism" or "not about animal rights."

Some of those are pretty different, the AOD one is just about as different as the new one is.
Also, for what it's worth, I instantly recognized the new version as Lara Croft the first time I saw it.
