Also, here's a rough list my mate made of stuff you should have in your wardrobe. I think it's pretty accurate.
This is by no means a definitive list by the way. If you have additions tell me.
-- Jeans. Ever since men have been men, jeans have been jeans.
-- Khakis. Flat front. Only you can know if you need stain guard.
-- T-shirts. Sometimes you are hungover and buttons are hard!
-- Polo Shirts. For yachting on the cape.
-- 2 or 3 casual blazers.
-- One fall and one winter jacket.
-- Sneakers. You know, for sneaking.
-- One black belt, one brown belt.
-- One pair of dress shoes in black and one in brown.
-- One black suit, one navy blue or charcoal gray suit, one lighter colored suit in lightweight cotton or linen for summer.
-- 2 or 3 white dress shirts, 4 or 5 light and dark solid-color dress shirts.
-- 8 to 10 ties in complementary colors, simple stripes or check pattern
-- One black tie. One tie with your favorite cartoon character on it.
-- Sunglasses, a nice watch, and a leather wallet.

Not really. There are very, very few sunglasses that are really very fashionable. Hats, however, if you're <25 or so, and in a casual environment, can be very stylish.
This thread would do me tons of good if my mom let me buy my own clothes

Most of the people that I see wear em wear oversized tshirts, and sagging straight or skinny jeans and hi tops.
I'm sure people have their reasons for liking the look, but, it just looks odd in my opinion. I'd rather stick with wearing wayfarers or aviators.

Wayfarers can look stupidly good with alot of styles.
Same goes for aviators, it's just that you have to find the right aviators. Ones that fit your face properly.
Most people just put on some ray-bans and think it looks good. I searched for a good amount of time to find these pair of Dolche & Gabbana aviators that fit me beautifully.

I'm not into giving people who happen to see me false images about myself. It's not like I'm a stupid kid wearing all types of "cool" clothing to appear in any certain way. My mannerisms speak for themselves.

They are. Hipsters use the frames as for their actual glasses. Just because hipsters wear them doesn't mean they can't look good though.
