I'm gonna agree with this. A stylist can often help you find a good haircut. Nothing wrong with going to a barber for maintenance and such, but they're not gonna help you too much unless your new style is "shaved."

I cut my hair myself. I don't trust myself with scissors though I use a hair clipper, I use large guides for it though so my hair doesn't look shaved.
