zzzzzz post a picture of a man properly wearing a v-neck
Is there something wrong with black leather jackets? I quite like black leather jackets, they're very striking. It takes a certain type to wear them without looking like a tool, but those who can pull it off look nice.
The problem is that very few people have the build for most leather jackets. You have to have broad shoulders, and preferably be taller to really pull it off.
I dress like a professional douchebag. Gets all the ladies. [img_thumb]http://i56.tinypic.com/9q8spj.jpg[/img_thumb]
Tapout shirts are right up there with Affliction shirts in my book.
Tapout shirts are right up there with Affliction shirts in my book.
Affliction is retarded no matter who is wearing it. Tapout is okay when the wearer actually does MMA.
Oh lord. If I'd gotten a pic, I would've posted one. Yesterday I wore a light blue V-neck sweater, a yellow AE button-down, American Eagle Jeans, and baby blue vans. Out-douche me now Mav.
That's not as much douchey as it is middle school "popular" kid.
zzzzzz post a picture of a man properly wearing a v-neck
[img_thumb]http://www.embroideryplanet.co.nz/zencart/images/MT140_main.jpg[/img_thumb] Obviously he's a built better than what most guys can expect, but you see my point. V-neck tees should be very form-fitting, maybe with the sleeves a little shorter than his. The better your build, the deeper v you can pull off, but be very careful about it. That's about as deep as you should ever go in tees.
That's not as much douchey as it is middle school "popular" kid.
That's pretty much the archetypal stuck-up white kid look. Which is douchey. e.g. Hollister is stuck-up white kid clothing, Hollister is douchey.
Affliction is retarded no matter who is wearing it. Tapout is okay when the wearer actually does MMA.
When I read that in my head I heard "when the wearer actually does MDMA." Needless to say I went back and read that one again.
V-necks look strange on me because I have manly chest hair that says hello when I put one on.

Tapout and Affliction are the two most common shirts in the Army after APFT tees and ACU blouses. You get a bunch of twenty-year-olds who take a week long crash course in general combatives and suddenly start wearing Tapout shirts and walking with a swagger which suggests that they are the king bad-ass of brotown. Heavy arm and back tattooing usually comes shortly after.
OP is incredibly biased towards skaters. Rock what you rock, get a sense of style by yourself. Dressing well isn't taking others advice, it's actually taking what you wear into consideration. The whole point of finding a sense of style is to create non-verbal communication to others. To those who say "But I'm just being myself by wearing crappy clothes", you're not. You're simply not giving a shit. If you really want to feel like yourself, fine some clothes that reflect you're personality, not your interests. I know that it feels like a good idea to wear Volcom to reflect your interest in skating, or your Metallica shirt to show others that you're into that sort of thing, but you're only appealing to that minority, and pissing off the rest. Find something casual, something that will make others comfortable, and something that will reflect how you really feel, how you think, and how you live. //end whatever
[img_thumb]http://www.embroideryplanet.co.nz/zencart/images/MT140_main.jpg[/img_thumb] Obviously he's a built better than what most guys can expect, but you see my point. My sternocleidomastoids are rather large for some reason, and I usually have to head for v-necks.
The whole point of finding a sense of style is to create non-verbal communication to others.
no its not its to make girls want your hoo-hoo in their ha-ha
OP is incredibly biased towards skaters. Rock what you rock, get a sense of style by yourself. Dressing well isn't taking others advice, it's actually taking what you wear into consideration.
I never said anything bad about skaters, like I said everyone has their own sense of style so obviously not all of this advice will apply to you.If you like the way you dress and you don't want to change then there isn't really any reason for you to be here. This thread is more aimed for people who never really considered style and want to learn some things or for people who are trying to be stylish and would just like some feed back on things the own/bought. Like zZ was just saying some stuff about how clothes should fit and how to match clothes, no matter if your style is skater, hipsters, preppy, whatever that information is valuable. Now of course you will like something that other people won't like and there will be arguments but thats life. [editline]26th February 2011[/editline] Also has anyone ever had puma shoes? I heard their really comfortable, im thinking about buying some but I want to know how good they are for running.
My bro has some Pumas and they're clean as hell
I have a personal hate for Pumas. But that might be just me.
my jeans have fucking ZIPPERS on them that do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Can someone convert the OP to english? [editline]27th February 2011[/editline]
my jeans have fucking ZIPPERS on them that do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Where's the "Hipster" rating?
my jeans have fucking ZIPPERS on them that do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Zippers are proportional to coolness. duh
Why do you hate pumas?
Some nonsensical stigma of mine. Because whenever I think "Pumas", I think of these shoes; And I hate these.
Those are pretty horrible.
Hi Facepunch, I'm starting to care more about what I wear. Currently, I'm wearing Levi's (not too baggy, not too skinny) along with a blank, solid color T-Shirt and a zip-up hoodie. The problem is that this is the hoodie I'm wearing: In my opinion, it seems really fucking monotone and needs to change, and since I pretty much wear that same hoodie every day to school, I probably don't look to well. Any recommendations for something better? Nothing super flashy like the bright green ones I see people wearing, just something that will look better. Thanks!

It's a decently fashionable hoodie style, comes in different colors, and is cheap since it's a Target brand.

Football boots too. Hell even some of their Tee's are cool. You shouldn't really wear those things (Tee's excluded) as a normal thing though. If you want normal sneakers that are Pumas. The only real choice is some kind of Roma. You have to look around for your perfect pair though. [editline]27th February 2011[/editline] I'd still say your best bet for really good sneakers would be Adidas Sambas or Campuses though.
Tom's are all the rage in the UK right now. Plus if you buy a pair, they give a pair to a child in need! £30-50
