they dry out real quick and are nice for lounging on the beach and the occasional dip in the water
when we go to newquay they are really handy as you dont need to keep changing, you can just go to the shops if you get bored on the beach
oh well yeah if you're on the beach or around water, then I don't see the problem
but just wearing them out and about is a little weird
Going to University in Plymouth this year, so plenty of opportunity for surfing in the area.

In Australia, boys tend to wear board shorts a lot as a every day pant, even if it's Winter. It's so god damn annoying seeing them walking around in Rip Curl and Jetty Surf board shorts.
