You need to realize culture doesn't just come from food, literature, ideals, and religion. [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_the_United_States[/url] Especially note entertainment, Other countries entertainment revolves around the US's, movies, music, technology and gaming, etc.

Our citizens were called Americans. If you were from European decent, you weren't called European any more because you gave up what life you had back in Europe for your better one in America. Most people were proud to call themselves American. Most hated the way Europe was when they left. So saying we owe our own culture to other countries is ludicrous. We have our own style. Its not French, its not German, its not British. Everybody got mixed. that's the whole point of the Great American Melting Pot. When you pour green food coloring and red food coloring into a bowl, you can't distinguish which is which Its just mixed. Just the same with America. We owe nothing but ourselves the credit for making our culture what it is today.

No country is perfect. All countries have a great deal of flaws. No cultures are pure and uninfluenced.
