Wow this thread is full of ignorant fucks. It's like me saying "LOL PEOPLE IN BRITAIN HAVE YELLOW TEETH!" However I've never been there.
(No hate on Britain by the way, just a good example of a prejudice. Best accents in the world too.)
As an interesting side note, more people in Miami speak Spanish than they do English.
Where ever you go, whatever you do, bring money. There's plenty to do, and all of it costs money.
Come to California, we can hang out in my attic and order pizza.
Depends on where you go I think. Down in Miami though, just chill by the beach and I can guarantee you'll see something you like ;) ;) ;)
Anywhere but the midwest.
Hey, OP, make sure you get to a Medieval Times show. They're pretty kickass, last I checked.
I haven't tasted better chicken than at Medieval Times.
HELL EVEN JEANS COME FROM AMERICA! Those tight jeans I KNOW you stare at on girls asses. They started out during the gold rush when pioneers needed a more sturdy material for their pants when they worked all day.

HELL Yes.
Yeah, the US has loads of freedom if you're either white, male or Christian.
Not actually true. You'd get the shit kicked out of you if you were racist in places other than the south. And the Mexicans take most people's jobs. In fact, workplaces favor more to minorities than whites.
All aside, New York is an amazing place to go to that is, if you know how to actually WALK around. You can do whatever the fuck you want to do, aspire to what your goal is. Go to Times Square,
[IMG_Thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/41/NYC_Times_Square_wide_angle.jpg[/IMG_THUMB]
Florida is diverse, you have Indians, Cubans, Mexicans, Drugs, Partying, Disney World, and Timeshares and British vacationers literally out the ass. You won't enjoy Miami unless you are 21 and over IMO.

I'm not so knowledgeable in California, but I do know that it's got loads of hot chicks and beaches (California Girls derp). You can also go skiing and snowboarding in California. Never knew that did ya? But if you do that you might want to go to Vermont.

When you hear Colorado, you hear either skiing or the Rockies. The land marks and fauna there are simply amazing and remarkable to observe IMO.

Chicago eh, better bundle up.

Las Vegas. It is literally the heart of the gambling world. Las Vegas is more of a place for ignorant kids who have just turned 21, and people want to blow off money (herp pun) or for lovey dovey couples. It also has some scenic views like the desert if you are into that stuff. Vegas is kind of 1920's flapper era. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of working women who still wear the feather clothing and the hats. Not to mention the iconic entry sign into Vegas.

You might not realize it, being like the incest capital of the U.S, but Tennessee has some pretty cool sights

I live in South Florida (Lake Worth), try going to the Miami Seaquarium. http://www.miamiseaquarium.com/ It's actually quite nice. Also, the small Cuban restaurants have "Cafe" which is extremely potent espresso in a shot glass. I'd recommend trying it, it tastes delicious and has the effect of 12 monsters. In addition, don't go to uptown, you will get shot. As well, if you were to go for a 20 minute drive into Fort Lauderdale, there is a great Science Museum there, http://www.mods.org/ and also finally, if you want there are some nice Yacht tours down in Delray Beach (about an hour from Miami), which take you in Air Conditioning for a couple of hours down the Intercoastal Waterway, which has a bunch of celebrity houses on it, quite a neat tour http://www.delraybeachcruises.com/.
Hehe, you don't even know from which country I am, in which I am living in, and yet are telling me that it is influenced? And it actually also works in the opposite, Hollywood is easily influenced, by any other country, culture or continent.
You're in some pissass town in Germany, with a negative opinion on the states because losing WWII didn't get you any pussy.
My famliy is going to miami this summer. it is a simple question

Honestly, you could sit at the beach all day, you could go on a fishing charter, or visit the various piers and such that are around Miami.
Funny that you bring up Texas with this whole culture thing going on. Texas was originally Mexican. It's culture and food are influenced by Mexico. The United States didn't pick up Texas until 1845. All history prior to that is Mexican, from it's colonization to its rebellion, to it's fight for independence and becoming it's own County. Texas Longhorn were a specialty breed brought in by settlers. Texas' long beef BBQ, and cowboy culture is all thanks to Mexico.
Speaking of beef...

I live in texas, and trust me, there is definitely a cultural mix, even in the areas that are in the bible belt area.
Tex-Mex, is its own sub food culture.
I love the fact that I literally eat Tex-Mex every other day.
I didn't say only European culture.
The majority of the USA is nothing very different from Europe though.
There also are other States, which also, have their culture from, example Hispanic culture.

You sir are sadly mistaken, I think you forget that we are a country not a colony anymore. And we are not the heavily European like society we were 200 years ago.
I go to Miami all the time, go to the beaches, try out some of the restaurants.. There are some nice clubs there aswell..

If you're trying to disprove the claim that the USA just borrows culture from elsewhere and has nothing original, giving examples of cases where the USA is doing just that is not the way to go.
if you're going to use that then no other european country has culture either since they're just borrowing from the romans and byzantines :colbert:

No, but its a pretty good way to go down to their level. Telling them 'WE'RE BETTER THAN YOU' will do anything but change their mind. You just look like an arrogant asshat.

Lot's of German culture, Cajun influences, Spanish is huge, Texas is a pretty multicultural state.

There use to be a lot of German restaurants around downtown Austin.
Now there is only a few left unfortunately.
I live in the capital, which is basically a party and college town, so we get all the multicultural and the new trendy restaurants/airstream trailers too.

If you're going to mention Colorado, throw in Utah, Arizona and New Mexico, because they have absolutely awesome scenery and they're like all right next to each other.
Utah has Monument Valley which is one of the most awesome places I've ever been to.

Central Texas is the best place to be in texas.
Grand Canyon, other national parks, lots of land.
Come to New England, everything's ass backwards here.
It's not a roundabout, it's a "rotary".
It's not pronounced "par-k", it's pronounced "paahk".
It's neither a milkshake OR an ice cream, it's a "frappe".
You want to go standard 10-pin bowling? Fuck you buddy, we got candlepin.
