Cliffhangers are the whole point of the Telivision series. So every time you finish an episode you're like "ogod ogod i can't wait until next episode!!!"
It helps them get more views, all the other shows do it.

I'm enjoying Heroes but... It really seems like it's not getting anywhere. In fact, it seems to be going backwards... Instead of doing anything useful Hiro's been fucked up. Everyone's lost their powers. Everyone's fighting with each other and no one's just getting on with it. I want it to actually GET somewhere now.
Pretty nice episode, interesting and somewhat compelling.
